Tranexamic Acid For Heavy Periods

Has anyone taken Tranexamic Acid for heavy periods? If so, did it work for you or did you have any side effects?

I am trying to remember the details....
I took tranexamic for an episode of heavey bleeding that lasted over 100 says. Some days the bleeding was so heavy I couldn't leave the house.
I don't recall any additional side effects, was feeling pretty rubbish at the time.
Think it helped lighten the bleeding. Took them also longer than the recommended time under docs orders.
Ended up getting an endromertrail resection. I had fibroids that were causing the heavy bleeding.
Do you know what is causing yours?
