I got my first ever faint bfp this morning! Woot!

But im travelling to mexico in a week and now im nervous. I cant get in to my dr before i go.

Can anyone tell me medications i am allowed to take for headaches? Nausea? Diarrhea?

Any info would be of great help!!!

I would try calling your doctor's office. Even if you can't get in to see them.. ask them if they have any papers you could pick up with that sort of information or any tips for your specific travel.

Also, if you have a smart phone... Ovia Pregnancy has a safe meds and safe foods look up function and was a free app. I wouldn't trust that alone though.

Congratulations Mississippi!!

Congratulations! For headaches I know Tylenol. For other stuff, I'm not too sure! Best to just call the doctor or health care line for a quick convo! Have a fantastic holiday!

I am pregnant with my second and wont be able to make it to the doctor until im well into my second trimester because of insurance. Being that it is my second pregnancy i am a lot more at ease though. But i do understand your worry. I remember from my first pregnancy the doctors had some pretty strong recommendations about not taking ibuprofen for aches and pains, take nothing for nausea, and stay hydrated as much as possible. Wash your hands frequently since you are going out of the country and try to drink bottled water. Limit caffeine and seafood. You probably will not do anything that will harm your baby. It helps that you know you are pregnant! and a huge congratulations to you!!! Just relax and enjoy your trip and your pregnancy. Hopeful the MS will subside through your trip :)

I dont eat seafood anyways.. Only drink one green tea a day.. Made the switch to tylenol when i started ttc.. I only drink bottle water in countries like that. I was more worried if i did ever get sick to my stomach..
Ill try calling in the am to see if they will squeeze me in!

If you can't get into your doctor. Go to a walk in Clinic or call the health line and ask. I'm assuming every province has a health line... I'm from SK and we do! Congrats and have fun!

We have one in Alberta too! They are super helpful!

If you get bad nausea, gravol is ok to take according to my ob.
