I recently applied for an ESTA for my mum. I did it on estavisas.org but have noticed there is a government website that looks more official and am worried the way i have done it is wrong. Does anyone know if the website i used is valid? Im also worried as we had to pay and im worried it might be some kind of con

I had to pay for mine also - think about $14? Cant remeber the site I got it from though sorry, I was sent it from my travel agent. Im sure it will be fine

i did mine on the government website, but i remember them giving me a number(with my email add/other details) so you can log in and check it has worked on the Gov site. i assume that you should be able to check this on there even if you didn't buy the ESTA there because it's electronic and plenty of travel agents add this onto bookings too.

Pandora you are a genius!!! Sorted, thankyou great idea x

At estavisas.org.uk prices are not given up front, but once you have waded through the form the user is confronted by an outragous fee of £79 – that’s around an additional £270 for ESTA Visa Waivers to take a family of four to Disneyland in Florida! - See more at: https://www.johnhowarth.com/index.php/2013/06/14/rip-off-britain-online/#sthash.GcRh4o83.dpuf

ESTA is basically an electronic form of the one you used to fill in on the plane when going to the US xx

Thanks so is this needed just for a holiday over there?
(Sorry to butt in OP) :flower:

Yes, they last 2 years costing $14 per person (even babies) if you change your passport before your ESTA runs out you need a new ESTA too :)

Thanks, had no idea and we are hopefully going next year :dohh:
