I have been trying to conceive for 11 years and the doctor told me he doesn't know what's wrong. At first I thought it was my tubes, but later I found it was clear. I have really bad pain every month but the dr said he doesn't think it's endometreosis but IBS. I also have pain with ovulation. I am now divorced and trying with my new husband for a year and still not able to conceive. I'm 35 and really want a child. Has anyone been trying to conceive for years without any clear reason why it's not happening?

Hi there I have been trying for a while although not as long as you. I think on these forums there is a section for people long term TTC who may be able to help and will better understand how you feel.

Has your doctor referred you to any kind of fertility specialist or done any blood tests to check your hormones etc?

I'm 35 and been trying for over 10 years. At first they couldn't say whats wrong, but then I tested positive for high NK cells --> cells that attack the womb lining, the placenta or/and the baby, making it next to impossible for the baby to implant and/or to survive to term :(

The tests were done in a private fertility clinic different from the one handling my infertility (cause i had a feeling the one handling it were a bit stuck and didn't provide options, solutions) and so they weren't taken seriously by my fertility doctor. He also said that NK cells theory was very controversial and so did nothing about it.

I gave up on TTC and got pregnant unexpectedly...but I lost it (in my opinion to NK cell antibodies attacking my womb/baby)...

May be find a doctor who believes in reproductive immunology and get tested for NK cells.

hugs

Thanks yes been through all the test. Everything was okay. Don't know what's going on.

Thanks, I will ask my fertility doctor about that. I heard of things like that happening. Is there any treatment for that?
