Trying for a girl

Hi I am new here. My husband and I are try to conceive a girl, We have two boys already. I have done some reading already and everything I have read said to start trying four to five days before ovulation. Do I start trying at the first signs of ovulation or is that to late. I do not have a regular cycle, so it's hard to track ovulation.

Hello, I cant really help you with tracking ovulation since I take the relaxed approach to ttc, but maybe you could get some ovulation predictor kits and a thermometer to track what your body is doing. I can't really give to much advice on this mind, just didn't want to read and run. I hope you get your bfp soon, and I hope you get your little girl although there is no way of ensuring that you will end up with a girl. Good luck.

So I did really want a girl in the beginning of this journey but now I just want a healthy baby! No preferences- just let me have one!!! Lol, but I also did alot of research into trying to conceive a girl as well. Because you have an irregular cycle I would suggest charting and paying special attention to when you have fertile egg white cervical mucus and how long it lasts. You need to BD at the beginning of you fertile time but you are not suppose to BD on your actual O day. For example, I have 5 fertile days so when I wanted a girl we would bd for the first 3 days but not on O day as the sperm can live upto 72hrs and the slower stronger girl sperm will reach the egg while the boy sperm have already died off or gotten distracted. However, with this approach it takes longer to conceive and beggars can't be choosers so now it's everyday for me! And really in at the end of all the research I read they still said it's a 50/50 chance anyways... Good luck!
