hi my husband and I have been trying to conceive my first child since april 2013. He and I are both 31 years old. Im starting to get frustrated, mad, and highly irritated.......it seems as though my family and friends are having babies every month. While im happy for them, im frustrated because I thought I would be preggo by now. Ive tried all over the counter things, like counting the days on a calendar, ovulation tests, temperature thing, laying in bed with legs propped up after the deed, and I have done the mucus thing too. the only thing left that I can think of..... him and I cant do because of his job. that would be to do the deed every other day. he works on the road during the week and is home on weekends so it doesn't work for us that way....:(
anybody have any advice?
going crazy!:wacko:

Hey, I know how frustrating this journey can be. It seems like it never goes the way we plan it. I could tell you it gets easier but it doesn't, until of course you get that bfp, and I could tell you to try and relax but you wont, until of course you get that bfp. But I can promise you that it will all be worth it once that BFP finally does arrive. I have been trying for 30 months (only 8 or 9 cycles) I have pcos so I knew it would take longer then I would like.
do you have regular cycles? if not then go to your doctor and talk to her/him about your concerns with a wacky cycle, she/he may not make you wait the 1 year mark before getting tests and figuring things out.
if you have regular cycles and know you ovulate, then that is awesome!
It could be that your timing of intercourse is off, due to your husbands work schedule, in the months to come his schedule will meet yours and hopefully it is a success.
I truly wish you the best of luck and hope you get that BFP soon! FX and lots of :dust:

Hey! I feel like I am in the same boat! My husband and I have been married for almost a year and a half! We decided we wanted a baby so I went off of my birth control in August of 2013. We weren't actively trying but we weren't doing anything to prevent it until January 1st. I am NOT kidding when I say 3 people who I am very close with are pregnant and all due within a week of each other! And of course with facebook, I now know almost 12 people who are pregnant and are expecting this summer!!! It is crazy! (apparently I am not drinking the baby water!)
Well anyways, this month I have taken my temperature every single day. I bought the ovulation predictor tests for next month. (I bought them in the middle of my cycle this month so I didn't bother). But, my husband is away every week right now so we only get Friday and Saturday (and sometimes sunday) to BD. I know it only takes "one time" but I just feel like its never going to happen because we can't do it every other day like they recommend.

Getting pregnant is the hardest thing I have ever tried to do. I'm 28, my husband 36. We have been TTC for 3 and 1/2 years now. I have done everything you have said, drugs, shots, surgeries and the list goes on. I hope for you it is simply the timing. My fingers are crossed for you. :hugs:

well I think im sorta regular, because I usually start within a week of when I im supposed to. at the risk of sounding dumb, what is bfp and fx mean? I've been reading posts on here elsewhere and see lots of abbreviations for stuff and don't know what it all means?

I really get frustrated with the "only takes one time" thing because we have been doing it so much its beginning to feel like a job instead of fun...... what they don't tell you is timing is KEY in this......I guess that's what im frustrated with... I cant do it every other day, and apparently the weekends aren't enough either....:/

Its very easy to get to a place of total break down, God knows I a have been there. Several times in the last few years. Specially when my family members are popping babies out like lollie pops. Its heart breakling. And there are no clever catch phrases or religious faith offierings that can undo the dammage to your heart, your mind, and your relationships. Keep your head up. I'll always be here for you to vent to!:hugs:

Bfp = big fat positive on a pregnancy test bfn = big fat negative
FX= fingers crossed
BD= Baby dance or sometimes baby dust
AF= aunt flo (period)

I didn't understand at first either and took me a while to understand them all. Theres a lot more of them.
