Got my BFP this morning, think I'm around 4 and half weeks gone.. This is the first BFP since my first Miscarriage last August 2012 and I'm so nervous something is going to happen or i'm going to do something wrong. I'm literally wrapped up in bed incase I do something bad :/
Does anyone else get like this?

First off, congrats!!! I know you know this, but you really can't do anything to cause a loss (unless you're doing something incredibly out of the ordinary). I survived the early months of PAL by simply ignoring the pregnancy was much as possible. I constantly told myself that "today I'm pregnant and everything is ok", but I tried to focus a lot on other things. I think a lot of women here have done similar things to get by. As time goes on, it gets easier to worry at least a little bit less. So much love and prayers for you and your little bean!!

I just got my first BFP since my last m/c (in late Sept/early Oct) and didn't even get AF the first time. So I'm extra nervous...It doesn't help when my doctor thinks my hCG is elevated because it's residual hormones from my m/c 5 weeks ago despite negative hpts up until Saturday. This is my third pregnancy this year and it's wearing on me. I'm doing my best to either NOT think about my pregnancy or just think about it matter-of-factly. Yes, I'm pregnant. Big whoop.

I also have a mantra that I repeat every time I start freaking out.
I WILL have this baby this summer. I WILL have this baby this summer. I WILL have this baby AT FULL TERM.

Maybe I will, maybe I won't but positive thinking is helping me get thru the worst of the nerves.

Thanks, honestly that makes me feel so much better. I just hope it all works out this time :) :fingerscrossed:

So, hopefully we'll both have summer babies! Xo

That would be awesome. DS was a winter baby, DD was a fall baby, so I'm hoping I stick with my pattern and move up a season. Summer baby it is! :)

Feeling a little better today since I puked yesterday and felt nauseated enough to dry-heave this morning. (Had to tell m-i-l about my pg because of it too.) Other than mild nausea off and on all day, occasionally tingly bbs, and the worst acne breakout I've had since middle school, my symptoms are kind of hit-and-miss. Forgetful yeah, but not much else. How about you? Any major symptoms yet to help put your mind at ease a little?

Hi Bambi- I'm in the same boat. My miscarriage was March of this year and I got a BFP this past Saturday. I'm 5w today. We were so thrilled to see that BFP again but I'm so cautious right now. Every feeling in my belly worries me and every lack of pregnancy symptoms worry me too. I want to be so excited and happy, but I find myself trying not to get ahead of things because of what happened last time.

Hi ladies, dairymomma i had a giggle at u moving up a season for me its the opposite. Ive lost a winter and fall baby so hoping summer is the routine as bith mine are summer babies. In my live children we bfp in oct. Scan nov, 20 weeks feb and baby in summer fngers crossed.
Its so hard to stay calm and positive after a loss, ive hur 6 weeks which us when my previous two died so im uber paranoid

See, now I've had my bfp I'm starting to notice symptoms I just dismissed before my bfp, I'm bloated, gassy, feel nauseas but haven't actually had morning sickness yet, sore bbs, and I'm soooooo tired aaaaall the time.

Ah gotta love the pg symptoms, right? :haha: I did the same thing so DH is convinced pg symptoms are totally in your head. I've got mild nausea ALL day, occasionally tingly but inflated bbs (I'm up almost a cup size and have uniboob cuz they are so squished together when I put my bra on), MAJOR acne (pubescent teenager bad), and I'm forgetting EVERYTHING. The chiropractor was laughing at me because I was zipping my son into his jacket after a recent appointment. Trouble was, DS had given me his jacket so I laid it on the table and zipped it up-without DS in it! Don't know what I'm doing half the time anymore I'm getting so forgetful.

Oh dear, what is it with men thinking pg symptoms are in our heads? LOL My dh knows better than to suggest that. ha ha

Anyways, it is really tough to remain positive but gotta keep trying. I'm also on my third pregnancy in a year and I can feel my body is getting kind of tired of this game. If only it knew it just had to hold on to this pregnancy and it will never have to do this again (most likely).

I don't know. DH is convinced. Might have something to do with the fact that three times now he's said you are pg and I've said no because no symptoms only to test and find out BFP. THEN symptoms roar in. :haha: I told him that I didn't necessarily NOT have symptoms, I just thought they were from something else-sick to my stomach? Must have the flu. Tired? Didn't get enough sleep. Sore bbs? PMS. He just shakes his head.

I really wish my dr would just understand that I DIDN'T try to get pg like this. I'm over the moon that I'm pg right now but I had hoped to lose a few pounds and get healthy again first. I honestly don't know what to do to prove to her we didn't TRY to make this happen. It just did.
