I have been using this steriliser since my LO was born and I am confused on the best way to use it.
The stuff in it only stays sterilised for 3 hours and what I do at the mo is sterilise, take a couple of bottles out, fill them with breast milk and then leave the rest in. Am I right in thinking that once the unit has been opened the rest of the bottles aren't sterile anymore so you have to sterilise again?
I combi feed too so during the day I get a bottle out to make up a feed but then that means putting the steriliser on again after taking just 1 bottle out ( I don't pre prepare feeds).
How does everyone else use theirs?

Hi Congrats on the LO!!

Yes, what you are saying is technically correct - that once you open the steriliser the stuff is no longer sterile but they will still be very, very clean!!

Instead of just making 2 bottles why not fill up the 4?? Or you could just build the other 2 bottles up and screw tight and leave them til you are ready.

Is it safe to build the bottles and keep them sealed with nothing in them?

I would say so - they would not be 'sterile' but then nothing really is - as soon as you touch them, get them into open air.....

Yip, so I would say screwed and sealed tight would still be very, very clean!!:flower:
