Tt steam steriliser

not happy having a play around with mine an found it can only hold 4 bottles does any 1 else have this problem or is it the way i am stacking it.

is there a sertin way 2 stack things in a sterliser and do u sterlise the powder despencers?

Is it the microwave sterilizer you're using? That one only holds 4 bottles, mind you I think most microwave sterilizers are the same. Not sure about the electric ones as I've never used one.

I wouldn't worry about the powder dispensers -the powder isn't sterile anyway.

yeh they are a nightmare. i tend to put the collors round the central stick that the tray sits on. then on the tray i put the teats with a lid over the top...think i can get 5 if not 6 in this way, but it does take juggling. dont know about the powder pots im afraid as ive never used them.

Yeah it's ridiculous! It's supposed to be for the CTN bottles but you can't fit them in beside eachother.

You can just take the rack out and stack as many bottles as you can into the 'hollow' steriliser - I use it like that to sterilise my breast pump and the bottle it comes with... in fact I never use the rack in it now!

oo so i might just sterlise all the bottles then do all the teasts lids powder despencers 2 gether can i do thiss

yep i had this problem with mine back in 2008 couldnt fit lots in, it also didnt seem to clean the bottles very well after a couple of months, seemed to pack in, so i got the avent microwave steriliser and its been fab xxx

i have the tt steam steriliser and it holds and sterilises 6 bottles perfectly for me? they all fit exactly into the slots made for them, ive never had a problem with it.. am i sterilising wrong?x

It depends on what bottles you are using I can get 5 TT CTN bottles in, or 6 "slimmer" bottles, like Dr Brown's or something.

The TT bottles - I have them arranged like this:

Back of steriliser

Hope that makes sense! The pole thingy is just in front of the middle bottle at the back, which is straddling 2 of the ridges you're meant to fit bottles over.

I stack the caps kinda on top/around the bottles, then the rack with the lids and teats fits on no bother
