I'll be 30 in august and I want a baby more than anything. I'm working where I want and I finally have a great guy. I went off the pill last year and my cycles we're normal. Now that I'm trying my period is late and I don't think I ovulated at all last month. I ordered some fertilitea and will start a prenatal soon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! BABY DUST👶👶

Best advice I have is start tracking your cycles so you know what's normal and what's not. It can be very basic or detailed as you want it. It depends on how much accuracy you want pinpointing ovulation. Some ladies just know their bodies well enough they know when their fertile period is based on a couple items. Some ladies go all out and use several techniques. It's up to you. My OBGYN said to just BD(have sex) every other day from cd 10-21. As far as anovulatory cycles if you're reg and it's longer than 35 days inbetween periods then you didn't ovulate. Women with PCOS and irregular periods can have long or missing cycles. Just take a deep breath and don't stress. Have fun :)

I will be 30 in august and we are ttc # 1. Would love to join :)

Turned 30 this May...TTC #1 here. Would love to join too.

I turn 30 on the 25th of July (this month  ) and I'm a little freaked out by it, and the whole TTC at 30 scares me. All my cousins, my sister, already have kids and the family keeps wondering why I haven't had any yet. The fact that I only just got married a year ago seems to make them think I should have magically gotten pregnant immediately. And now that a few know we are TTC I get a question every month if I'm pregnant yet. It's frustrating.

Anyway, point being: I've wanted a baby for a long time and finally found the right guy and we are in a place where we are TTC and I'd love to join and have some support! :)

As for your cycle: do you track? Since I stopped bc (feb 28) I started doing bbt and checking cm for tracking. I use OPK as well the last couple months to get a better idea exactly when I "O" but the BBT has been my absolute favorite method of tracking, despite the annoying part of having to wake up and take a temp every day. I can see a pattern in the BBT and Fertility Friend does an amazing job of charting and predicting Ovulation, as well as finding your O day from bbt. There was a month I didn't think I'd Ovulated because I didn't get a + on OPK (I think that was my fault, the cheap sticks are often hard to read or a little inaccurate), but according to my bbt I had ovulated. BBT is more for confirming ovulation rather than seeing in advance (like an OPK) but it helps me get a feel for what my body is doing and what is normal.

Will be 30 this month and ttc#1.
Would love some company for discussions. I track my cycles and use OPK for finding out when I ovulate.

Good luck to all of us.

Hi ladies! I'll be 30 in September. This is my first cycle ttc so I'm new to everything. I've started charting bbt and cm but that is all I'm doing for now. If no luck in the first few months I might change things up.

Angel, I know what you mean about everyone asking you when. Me and hubby have been married almost 2 years and we constantly hear about it. And cousins and friends are all either pregnant or already have kids. Hope it's my turn soon

Exactly!! I am, literally, the last cousin to not have kids (minus the one that is still in high school and the one who's gay!). I'm the 3rd oldest cousin, of quite a few, and the rest have at least 1, most have two or three. I'm so tired of the questions!

Question for those who have been tracking for awhile:

I check cm, I use OPK and BBT.

On Thursday 7/3 I got a +OPK on the clear blue Digital. I've had EW cm for 10 days before +OPK. I expected to O (and see the corresponding BBT temp shift) within the next 24-48 hours. No temp shift yet. Friday, Saturday were the same temp: 97.18 (I usually get very consistent right around O). Sunday had a temp shift way up to high 98 BUT I attribute that to a couple of drinks Saturday night (yes, I know....) and the fireworks keeping us up most of the night so I got very little sleep and it was very restless. Today I was back down to my pre-O 97.18 temp.

I use FF and no crosshairs yet.

So what does this mean? How do I get a + OPK but no temp spike?
I didn't keep testing OPK after that because I read you don't need to keep testing.

But now I'm confused. And a little worried.

Well, I finally got my temp spike, I think it was just delayed because FF gave me CH at 2 days post +OPK.

Now I'm waiting.

I have had an 8-9 day LP on every cycle since stopping BC (spotting or blood tinges in CM starting on 8 & 9DPO and full AF on 10DPO), and I'm taking vitex and B6 to try to lengthen it. Tomorrow is 8DPO. Keep fingers crossed!

Even if this isn't my month for my BFP, I'm hoping at least to have lengthened my LP.
