I just bought a little notebook and started writing everything down in the following format:
Cycle Day 1 (the day you start)
Cycle Day X (the day you test positive with an OPK if you're testing)
Dates the hubby and I had sex.
Any notes, comments, questions, concerns, etc.
When I start my period, I flip to a new page and do the same thing for that cycle.
When I went for my pre-conception appointment a while back, they gave me a list of things to be aware of. A website called "safefetus" can tell you if you're on anything bad-- I can't post the link because of my low post count.
Anyway, I was on several things b/c of a blood pressure disorder, so I was able to get my medications switched around to something safe but effective for my condition.
I started taking prenatal vitamins, and an extra supplement of folic acid. I am contemplating a b-complex formula, but not sure if that will help or hurt.
I stopped taking fish oil after reading new articles about the questionable science at work.
In general, here's the plan the hubby and I are following. Please keep in mind we're not charting or temping, just keeping track of ovulation, so this isn't comprehensive:
I start tracking ovulation the day after period with cheapie OPKs I bought from Amazon. So far they've worked for me the last two months. We try to keep up with knocking boots three times a week no matter what the OPK says, but that isn't always feasible, so we don't stress over it unless it's "the week." And during that week, we try for every other day at least.
Hope this helps.
