So i'm 36, just stopped BCP after 15 years...and ready to TTC! :happydance:

Course I know it's going to take a while....but why not start preparing now! I'm charting...trying to figure out what else to map out in a crazy graph :haha:, trying to eat well and .

Any advice is always welcomed! :hugs:

Hello. I am 35 and hubby 44. We just started in January. Had a feeling it wasn't going to be easy and now starting cycle 9. What are you planning to do? we have done all natural supplements, bdded eod for 2 fertile weeks, and pre seed and conceive plus. This cycle adding soy iso (even though Im regular) and softcups. :)

Hi. Thanks for sharing. We are a lot like you age wise. We haven't "tried" anything, besides :sex: whenever. Since i literally just started....I'm so open to anything. I'm on day 9 of my first cycle, literally a newbie!

Thanks for sharing! Wishing you the best. :hugs:

I'm hoping i can keep a positive attitude as the months go by!

Hi Ms Elizabeth

I'm 35 and DH is 37 and we've been TTCing #1 for almost a year now and I'm currently on cycle #13 (since my cycles are 26 days long). Had a chemical during my 7th cycle but otherwise nothing. We're getting our referral for fertility treatments next month.

I found it helpful in the beginning to use ovulation tests (OPKs) to see when I ovulate (O). But since I seem to O CD13 (CD = cycle day) 95% of the time (CD14 the last 5%), I've dropped using them. But maybe you want to try them? I used Wondfo brand. You can also use natural cues and check your cervical mucus (CM). A bit gross at first, but I use this method still. Most normally go watery when they're starting to be fertile and many get egg-white cervical mucus (EWCM), stretchy, clear fluid when they're most fertile. I only get the watery kind myself.

If you haven't already, I can recommend taking prenatal vitamins which helps with keeping cycles regular and good to take if you do get pregnant as you'll already be taking folic acid which is very important since it prevents neural tube defects in the fetus.

That's all I can think of right now. Always feel free to ask questions as the ladies here are very nice and helpful:thumbup: Good luck :dust:

Thanks for the info! I'm a cat momma myself! Just got a bengal kitten!

I've been taking prenatal vitamins for about three months now. Wanted to find a brand that didn't make me sick before I started coming off BCP and then who knows what happens.

Haven't thought about o test kits...thanks for the brands, makes shopping easier! I just started charting my temps. Also trying to see whats up with my CM. TMI, sorry, but yesterday I was watery....i guess thats what I would call it. Lol. DH says I'm just wet. :haha:

So I hope to figure it all out in the next few months....I am keeping hopes up this will happen quickly, but know reality it takes time. I fear i waited too long....but try and squish that belief way down below!!!

Best of luck to you!! :hugs:

Oh wow bengals are really pretty:thumbup: A bit too active for our household though since they need a lot of exercise. Ours is just a housecat, she's blue and white (with a cute white chin) and is a rescue kitty:flower: She's small for a cat though, guessing she was a runt. I'm pretty sure she has some sort of Forest Cat in her, not sure which one though. Norwegian is most likely but her face profile is wrong for it so maybe another type, looks more Siberian to me in her profile

I seem to be lucky and none of the vitamins I've tried makes me sick. I alternate between 2 brands that have the same amount of everything. I just buy the one that I can most easily get a hold of when I'm starting to run out.

I use to temp but found it stressful so after 4 months, so I dropped it. Sounds like you're in your fertile window then if your CM is watery. Yeah I know Wondfo is good, haven't tried many other brands since the choices are pretty limited in this country, especially if you want to buy them fairly cheap since everything is expensive here. They've never steered me wrong though. Their HPTs are also good, no evap lines or anything:thumbup:

Yeah I was hoping for it to happen after 3-4 months, 6 tops. But I've been in this for the long haul and am getting my referral soon. But you never know. My (half) sister was 36 when she had her first and she got pregnant within the first 2-3 months. I started at age 34½ and it's been a year and nothing yet (other than the frustrating chemical). Hoping it doesn't take you so long as it's definitely not fun:( Nothing more frustrating then seeing AF every month or thinking it's finally happened and then it turns out to be a chemical:dohh:

Here's hoping you're luckier than me and you get your sticky :bfp: soon :hugs: :dust:

I too have a rescue cat. He's 12 now. Needs a lot of loving!

Wishing you the good luck your sister had. Hey, its in the genes!

I think my CM is just out of wack coming off BCP...but just to be sure...:sex::sex::sex: LOL. I have to laugh to keep sanity about me!

Yes they do, have been spoiling my little girl. From what I've gathered, her previous owner was abusive and hit her since she was afraid every time I tried to pet her at first. Now she seems to trust me:)

Unfortunately I don't have her luck as I've been trying for a year and no sticky bean yet:( I said that maybe you would be as lucky as her:thumbup:

Good luck:dust:

Well, I wish you good luck soon! Until we both get positives....we must keep trying!

Thanks, you too!

I must admit I've pretty much given up on the natural method so looking forward to trying with assisted conception and hoping it works on the first try:happydance:

Well heck....doesn't matter if we take a plane, train or walk...as long as we get there!

I have yet to read that chapter in any book as I am afraid of scaring myself sterile. Lol. I cant even read pages about how our statistics are so horrible since we are "geriatric" pregnancies. Ugh. Hate that negativity!

So...let's just get this show on the road huh? :happydance::happydance:

I can suggest some supplements that I have used with zero side effects. Vitamin D and B (help with luteal phase), coq10 (helps old eggs), omega 3, prenatals, maca root ( if forget for what) evening primrose ( only before O) gauifenesin (leading up to O) and now soy iso (days 3-7) to provoke a healthy , mature egg. I think thats it :)
I am on bendaryl for sleeping so I have zero cm. The guaifenesin and primrose help with that along with drinking a ton of water. I also use pre seed and conceive plus lubes just in case. My opks showed 2 peaks which could be a gear up and fail or a sign of pcos. I stopped after the second month, but will use them again since starting iso.
