Hi there. My husband have been trying for #1 since february. No luck. I thought it would happen once I went off bcp's, but so far, nothing. I know two months is nothing, But my dh has cousins that arent even trying that end up pregnant.

I bought an assortment of hpt for when the special day comes so i can be sure :) I even bought 40 ovulation test strips which I am going to start using on 4 days... Cross your fingers for me and my hubby.

I was looking for someone who is in the same boat as I am so we can chat about ttc our first baby :) Any Takers??

Have you been trying the opk test strips at all? I tried the first repsonse fertility test that you are supposed to take on the 3rd day of your period and last month it said I was good to go and I took one a few days ago for this cycle and it also said good to go. I tried ovulation predictors last month but I never got a positive. I think maybe I wasnt testing during the right time of my cycle, I was just antsy cause my dh was leaving town for 5 days and I think it was during my o time. I got some strange discharge (sorry tmi) on cd17 and 18, but it wasnt quite how everyone describes ovulation cm ... I guess I will describe it... sorry tmi again... It was very stretchy, somewhat cloudy/faintly brown but still translucent if that makes sense at all. But it wasnt slippery at all. Just very very stretchy. Any ideas?? I also dont know when to really start testing for ovulation?? If what I described was indeed ovulation, It was a bit late in my cycle I thought. Im rambling now... :) I did get my period on cd29, but it was very heavy with lots of cramping and clotting, I had taken a hpt a few days before and it was -. So I dont think it was that.

Everyone keeps saying that there is never tmi on this site, but I still feel I need to say it after I post something wil tmi in it. lol

Here is my Positive fertility test taken on 3.25.11

My OPKs are white like a lamb. Which is weird because I have a long LP so I should be ovulating any day... :S

I just got a + opk today!!! I was so surprised!!

Are you not getting a control line either??? If not, then there is something wrong with them. Do you have a picture??

No I have a control just not any other line. Tried again today and nothing.

Huh.... what time are you testing?
They say not to test with fmu, and it can't be hot. Room temperature is what I read.
Maybe you're ovulating later this month, I know I was surprised I did so soon after af.
Try testing at 12pm and again at 5 if you can... I hope you get a + soon :)

Really it has to be room temp? How did I not read this on the instructions?

If you're using the strips then ya. Its weird. I pee in my designated cup and set the cup in cold water for a minute to cool it down a bit. So far its worked good.

Maybe it's just the ones I'm using ...its worth a shot to try it I guess :) . What brand do you have of opk?

Yeah I talked to a couple other people from here and you shouldn't have to cool your pee on most of the OPK's. Had a Dr's appt today, I go in on the 15th to draw blood to see if I'm even ovulating. So fx everything is ok.

My fingers are crossed for you!!! I hope everything is ok
