What are your stories? How long have you been ttc?

My hubby and I met in 09 and for the first 4 years we only used the pull out method because condoms gave me UTI and birth control caused chest pain.. I thought we were doing the method right in time to prevent pregnancy. Then we started ttc on May and no luck. We ttc daily, right after my period..Then I'm all excited about being pregnant than stupid period comes a couple days late..psychology messes with my brain..I've skipped period for 59 days, kept getting bfn back to back.. that was very difficult... I'm supposed to get my period in 3 days and have sore breast and very constipated and know I'm thinking that I may be pregnant but know that I get this symptoms before period anyway....very doubtful

OH and I have been Ntnp for 2 years. I have the "will it ever happen?" moments.
I know I don't time it around ovulation but still, I'd still think it'd happen after 2 years. My AF is regular, so I begin to think is it him.... is it something else within me.

If you've been "TTC" for 6 months (and you're over the age of 30), then you should get a dr to take a look to see if there may be something making it "difficult" to get pregnant. The easiest thing to do would be have the OH/DH do SA to make sure he isn't having sperm issues.

If you're still younger than 30 years old, they say you should wait til it's been a year before you get checked out. Some people will still take longer than average- I think the average is 6 months/cycles to get pregnant.

I've been TTC since Dec. 2011 and still not even gotten my bfp but we already know what the issue is so that's been the main cause of us not having any babies yet.

Btw, good luck to you!

Yes, that is why I dont want to find out because i dont want to blame some one. I don't want to blame myself or him, but I'm starting to realize that I need to overcome that and figure out which one of us needs extra help. Regardless, i will love my hubby and if I can't conceive well adoption is always an option.. :)

You are right about that, we do need to check to find out which one of us needs extra help conceiving.

Update: I am 2 days late according to my 34 day cycle, (even though for the last 3 months my period would arrive on the 29th cycle) and today I woke up and saw tiny bit of brown discharge. This doesn't sound good, maybe I got my period... Well I have to keep trying! Thanks girls for being supportive :)

Brown discharge does not automatically mean you are out. I have heard of girls having brown spotting or discharge before getting their bfp sometimes.

Good luck, and lots of baby dust.

I've never considered it as "someone to blame" but now I'm thinking if I do get pregnant then I'll be really happy, but if I don't then that's ok too. OH and I have a long while yet, but it's that if one of us needs that help to make the baby making process smoother, then that will help

Yes, might as well get it tested to find out.. we decided next month.

Have you had longer cycles before? I went to a doc after about 6-7 months and got the come back after 12 months story. By month 10, my cycles went from 28-29 days to 45 days, then I was on a second cycle of 40+ days (ended up being an 89 day cycle) and went to the doctor as you can't TTC if you aren't ovulating... She sent me for tests, and then we were referred to a Fertility clinic after 11 months TTC.

Turned out I had pcos which meant I didn't always ovulate and would have irregular cycles. Then we found out DH had a low SA count. Pair the two together, and TTC was extremely hard. We ended up doing tons of tests and finally wentnthrough IVF earlier this month.

Both 26 and healthy, so didn't expect any problems.

If you're not feeling confident,id suggest trying to get DH a SA, and see how that goes. If all good and youre still unsure, maybe see if they can test you :) hopefully you will find you both are fit and healthy and you will know it I will happen in time.
