How many people were on BCP for years and conceived pretty fast? I get so scared that I don't ovulate because of being on BCP for so long. Anyone been through this? I stopped taking it like 6 months ago because I knew we would start trying. TTC #1 btw.

if you stopped it 6 months ago i imagine it should be out of your system by now.
Have you had regular cycles since?

I've just come off the implant after 6 years, but not quite sure where my cycle is yet.
Good luck xxx

Yeah every 28 days. So I think I'm good. I don't know if it's in my head or what.

With regular cycles you are most likely fine. When I stopped BCP after 10 years, I never got a cycle before getting medical help, no fun xP

Yeah they're to the T pretty much. So hoping I'm ok. I just don't get very many symptoms around ovulation. I get white runny discharge just I've never seen EWCM. so that's the only thing that really worries me. But from what I read a lot of people don't get ewcm.

I was on it at 15 because of my heavy periods. Came off it at 38 so I was on it for 23 years. Had 3 early losses but fell pregnant with DS1 within 9 months. I never had EWCM either.

Hi Dtrisha, I just wanted to let you know you are definitely not alone! I was on the pill for about six years, and stopped it in March because we wanted to start TTC. We started actively trying in June, and still nothing! Both DH and I are in our mid twenties, and no reason to think anything is wrong. I've always had very regular cycles as well. This forum has been very helpful to me, and I'm sure you have seen that many perfectly healthy couples can still take 6-12 months TTC. That certainly doesn't help the stress, or the baby fever though! Fx to you, I hope we both get our BFP's soon!

Mininun- you sound just like me seriously. Both mid 20s finally ready and married and haven't conceived yet :(. I have to go for my yearly soon so I'm going to check up then to make sure everything's good with me. I dont wanna have any problems. I've had baby fever for almost a year now. I work at a Montessori so that doesn't help lol.

Oh that's great that you are going in to get your checkup and chat with the doctor. I'm sure they will just tell you it takes time, but at least it will put your mind at ease. My baby fever hit hard at the beginning of the year so I'm really hoping we get our positive soon. Are you doing anything to help conception along, tracking ovulation, etc? I tracked from May-July, but started to get too stressed so I'm not tracking this month. Hopefully the relaxed approach helps a bit :)

I haven't done anything to pin point it other than OPK's but I could find my surge last month. I only had 7 tests so I tried to make them last. I knew I was around a certain time because of how much liquidy discharge I was having but I couldn't pin point ovulation so I was just BDing every other day.

As long as you are BD'ing every other day, I think you are covering your bases well. That's essentially what we have been doing. It's just crazy to me that a healthy couple only has a 20 percent chance of conceiving every month when so many pregnancies seem to be accidental. I suppose it only makes it more worth it in thr end.

Yeah I would think BDing every other day would cover it but nothing yet. So I don't understand. My sister got pregnant accidentally by one time and in like wth why can't we when we BD more and want it. Hopefully soon for he both of us. I'm already tired of waiting.

Oh me too, I expected and wanted to get pregnant right away. It always seems to happen really quickly for those who aren't expecting it or even wanting it. I'm sure it will happen soon for you, probably when you least expect it. At this point, I'm just hoping it happens by Christmas time for me. I would love to do a holiday pregnancy announcement!

Yeah that would be soooo cute!!! I know my husband would like Halloween though that's his favorite. But I don't think that'll happen. I think next month were just going to BD when we feel like it and see how that goes. And I'll try not to look when I'm Oing lol.

Yeah that's what we did this month, just took a more relaxed approach. I might start tracking again next month, but I also just started a new job so that will be a big focus for a while. All while hoping the more relaxed approach works in our favor lol.
