TTC #2 at 38 nearly 39, anyone else ?

I was on these boards 5 yrs ago when TTC my LG. We've just decided to go for #2. Just wondering if it'll be as easy as last time, guessing not as this time I'm 5 yrs older! Anyone want to join this crazy journey with me ?

Hi. I'm also trying for number 2 but have a much bigger age gap.....20 years. Im nearly 40 OH 36 and he has a 5yr old. I have a feeling my journey won't be that easy this time round. Happy to keep you company.

I am 39, have one little boy who's two at the end of April. He was from my first round of IVF and from which I have 3 frosties in the freezer. I am about to go in tomorrow to have one of them thawed and returned to mama!

This is our first week of actively trying as my cycle restarted this month. There seems to be so much information on what's best to increase our chances of conceiving. Think I need to stop reading and just enjoy the process.

This is our first month of trying too and I'm trying very hard not to symptom spot! I'm not doing temps or opk's so no idea of when I ov'd but I think I'm about 8/9 dpo. Trying hard not to over think the cramps I've been having or the heavy feeling in my tum, remember all this from last time but trying not to get my hopes up!

I was 37 when I had her....am now 41 eeeeeep On cycle 8 so is proving much more difficult. Got pregnant first month last time

Well after days of convincing symptoms I tested this morning and got a bfn

No idea as I don't do temps or opk's. I normally ov around CD 13/14 and I'm CD 25 today. I've a feeling that I've not ov'd this cycle as didn't get the usual twinges at ov time nor have I got sore breasts which I've always had straight after I ov right up to AF appearing. Typical that my body decides to mess about when we start TTC!

I conceived my son first month when I was 38 and then this little one after 2 months of trying (and I'm 40 now). With my first I did temping and used OPKs. With the second, I just used OPKs

Well no AF or spotting! But absolutely no symptoms either I'm now on CD 29 which means I'm officially late as my cycles have all been 28 days for the last 6 mths but before that they were 30 ish days long. Not gonna test as I know it'll be a wasted test, if still late in 2 days time I'll test as that will be over 30 days. Don't even know why I'm updating this lol!

Day 27 or cycle so a short one....14dpo though so LP is fine. I 'ovulated' early this month. Not sure I like all these changes in dates etc.I got positive opk and I guess a temp shift...Not massive so not convinced.

Wondering what to try next...might leave black cohosh and try soy isoflavones.Anyone else tried those?

My workmate who was pregnant at the same time as me was 39, one year older than me, and she tried ONCE to get pregnant, literally had sex once without protection, she said it was now or never.
