Hi everyone

I had a miscarriage last may and then a missed miscarriage in march :(

I've been taking my bbt since my second miscarriage as someone told me it can be useful? Mine seems a bit low and up and down but I don't really know if I'm doing it right! Could my miscarriages be due to low progesterone if I have low bbt?

I know that the month I got pregnant (happened to be having tests that month) that my progesterone was 31.5 on cd23....does that sound ok or too low? Could it have dropped after that or is it not likely that is the cause?

When I had it done this month it was 16 on day 23, 39 on day 27 and then my period started on day 32.

Any advice welcomed! I don't want to try again if there's something wrong and I'm just going to have another miscarriage...I can't face it again. :(

Have anyone had a succesful pregnancy with low progesterone?

Xxxx

I think 31 is a good number while pregnant. If you can, I would try to see a specialist to have some tests ran. That is what I did after my second loss and I found out I have a blood clotting disorder.

your primary care or ob can check your progesterone and tell you if its something to be worried about. I know several people who have had low progesterone and had successful pregnancies, some had to supplement during pregnancy though.

hi and gl! my ob likes to see prog of 20 so your numbers look good!

I've now had two miscarriages aswell and suspect low progesterone. They wouldnt test me for it though so Im sorry I cant comment on what my levels are, but I think your do sound quite good/high. Im now waiting for tests to be done next month at the recurrent miscarriage clinic.
It could well be that you have a blood clotting disorder. After my first M/C my GP recommended taking a low dose aspirin a day which I was doing and thought that things were going well as I got to 10 weeks this time. I suspect low progesterone as I had all teh warning signs of spotting and bleeding despite seeing a good heartbeat at 4 scans, plus my mum had 5 miscarriages and needed progesterone injections...I was told that miscarriages are not hereditary...yeah but low progesterone is. Good luck xx

I think it's quite possible but I'm no Dr so go and get ur levels checked my a specialist. Mine is doing ovulation tracking from cd1 of my next cycle and will do blood tests and us until I uvulate and then up until 8 weeks if I get a bfp. She suspects progesterone might be the problem and will put me on supplements with my next bfp. I have also just had an ultrasound that should that I could have either ashermans(complication of dnc) or endometrial hyperplasia which is caused by low progesterone and too much oestrogen.

I hope you get ur answers soon xx

its so difficult having two miscarriages i have just had another after posting my bfp on here three weeks ago and im devestated...my first mc was in february..my drs have refused to do any testing until i have had three miscarriages but the thought of going through this again is just way too much...its the not knowing thats the hard part and i just wish i knew what was wrong...my progesterone went from 50 to 28 in 6days...your progesterone levels do sound good though maybe you should have testing done to investigate the cause of your miscarriages...i wish you so much luck hope you get your bfp and a sticky bean maybe third time lucky for the both of us
