TTC after birth control

I had the Nexplanon in for about 3 months. I had it taken out November 7th. I didn't have a period for november and still no period now. i had unprotected intercourse twice now. When should I take a test? I've never been pregnant before. I'm really scared to take one. I don't want to be disappointed and I think I would rather wait until the end of december to see if I get my period or not. I've been really hungry lately and I've been on phentermine and a couple hours after breakfast I'm really hungry to the point i have hunger pains. And that's not normal for me, because I've been on phentermine before and could make it to dinner with no problem. My boobs are really sore. The kicker though, is that I feel like I'm having period cramps. So, maybe I'm not? I don't know.. Also, to note, we weren't trying to get pregnant. We were careless and were used to the birth control in my arm, I guess we just 'forgot'. But now, I think I'm excited/scared? I don't know..
