Ttc after d&c?

Sorry Amy it's taken me ages to reply.
Sadly the scan didn't go well and II am miscarrying for a third time. I am going to EPU on Tuesday to be booked in for a D&C. Hopefully the wait isn't too long

I am so sorry this has happened to you again, I have no wise words but I'm sure all the ladies here and myself are here for you xx

It was a huge shock as we thought this was it as I had sickness and never had it with my last two preganacies. It's so cruel. Saw the heartbeat but it was barely there.
Me and DH have had to make the decision to stop TTC until all investigations have been completed. Going to see my doctor this week to get a refferal. It worries me as I know that 50% of recurrent MC cases are unexplained. I guess we just need to go through the motions and forget about becoming parents for now X

I'm so sorry to hear your news. I know "try to think positive" would be a really dumb thing to say right now but at least you're getting a referral. I really hope you get answers soon and a way to make sure your next pregnancy is a healthy one. This isn't the end, try not to lose hope.

It's good you are getting some investigations done...it may throw something up which they can treat. All sorts like clotting.....autoimmune tests etc. Are they doing genetic testing on the tissue this time for you? Xxx

We can't see this as the end. Really this is the beginning for us. It feels like the last 20 months of ttc have been wasted. But I guess we have had to go through all of this to get the help and support that we need. Praying hard for a miracle

Hopefully we will have a full range of tests. I had clotting disorder test a few months back and they came back clear so I definatley don't have APS. Hoping for hormone tests and hoping to get my NK cells tested, although this may have to be done privately. Not sure if they will look into DH at the moment as his spermies are working as we are getting pregnant I just can't carry.
We are getting genetic testing on the pregnancy tissue this time. It may take some months to get the results back but will have a follow up appointment when they do come in.
My first gyne/fertility appointment is in just under 3 weeks time. So shocked at how quickly one was available is it normally takes about 8 weeks. Must be quiet at the moment X

I hope you get that call soon and it's an all clear. The wait must be horrendous.

My own wait is nearly over. D&c tomorrow afternoon and so far I have no bleeding yet so hopefully I'll make it until then. Can't wait to come home afterwards and start to look forward again. It's been a very, very long week.

I'm ok, thank you! D&c was nearly three weeks ago. I wish this "cycle" made a bit more sense but I guess that's a bit much to ask for really.

For those of you on this thread who have had losses, I'm so sorry...I know how painful it is. I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks 3 days - everything looked fine, HB 170, at 8 week scan. I started spotting at 11 weeks, went in and there was no HB I have never been so devastated in my life. There's no feeling like it - complete emptiness. My D&C was about 3 weeks ago, and I think I've either ovulated already or I'm getting ready to, based on my CM. My DH and I had unprotected sex a few days ago, and I'm wondering if there is any chance we could have conceived. My doc said to wait one cycle, but I've seen many other people post that have gotten BFP's right away and have gone on to have healthy pregnancies. Any thoughts?

Hi Izzy! The official recommendation here is to wait one cycle for dating purposes. But it goes on to say that there are no increased risks to getting pregnant again straight away and two different doctors emphasised this to me as well. Weve decided to try straight away, my d&c was also three weeks ago. But I'm careful to not get my hopes up too much as I'm not sure I believe that everything will be healthy and built up enough for an egg to implant this early. But as far as I know, if you do get pregnant, your chances at a healthy pregnancy are very good. In fact a recent study has concluded that you're somewhat more likely to have a healthy pregnancy in the first three months after a miscarriage. If you decide to try, why don't you come over and join us in the spring rainbows thread? There are a few of us in similar situations.

So I'm 5dpo today! We did BD once unprotected in my fertile window, but it was like 4 days before O based on fertility friend - this was actually the day we conceived the baby we just miscarried. We weren't actively trying, but we obviously weren't too worried about preventing - I just figured if we are meant to get pregnant then we will, and if my body's ready to maintain a pregnancy then it will - but yeah, not getting my hopes up for this cycle. Ready to full on TTC next cycle!

There are a few of us in similar situations to yours. I'm 9dpo today, first cycle and we did actively try. I go between getting my hopes up and realising that it's quite unlikely this month about 20 times an hour. How are you doing? Anxious to test or are you quite relaxed? We've got a communal testing day on the 19th, if you'd like to join us.

I'm actually pretty relaxed about it! I thought I would be very anxious to test but I'm kin of indifferent. I was going to order some IC off of amazon, but I haven't yet. I don't currently have any tests, but now you're making me want to go buy some dollar store ones! I usually end up being a crazy TTCer when it's all said and done! How many dpo are you? I think I will come join your thread!
