TTC after ectopic in September.

On September 6th I had methotrexate for my ectopic. I had a normal period October 9th. It was 5 days just like before my pregnancy. I just had my second period which was 32 days later so not normal for me. It started off brown spotting the first day, the next was light pink bleeding then the next three days it gradually got heavier. I think it's starting to dwindle today so hoping for born spotting tomorrow. But one of my questions is that my FF says I should be fertile the end of this week and ovulate Sunday which I'm not sure if that'll happen. I'm temping so I hope that helps. But has anyone else had weird periods like this and conceived very fast? I'm going to be trying very hard this cycle but I'm scared that my period won't dwindle fast enough for me to catch O if I do O when it says. Is it possible to O like a day or two after your period stops?

What cycle day do you typically ovulate on? If you just started FF and temping after methotrexate it will average your cycles. What day after your methotrexate did you enter as cycle day 1 before your first period? I picked the day my HCG went back to zero but I'm starting to wonder because my temps are all over the place and my OPKs are getting lighter.

Usually 14 but since my cycle was about 32 days this past cycle idk when I ovulated. I just started temping and they arnt moving much but in just getting off AF. I didn't put in a cycle day before my last period in October because I don't know what to put. Not sure if I should do metho day or zero so I didn't put anything. I haven't been using OPK's. I have 4 left so I might try when I think I'm ovulating. It's so confusing.

I would start on CD 10 using OPKS. I'm using mine right now but only because I have no idea when to expect ovulation this first cycle after metho.

What time of the day are you taking them. I work 830-6 so idk when I would be able to

My DR told me second morning urine was the best, but since I get up at 4:45 am I don't usually have the opportunity to do that...only time to pee once! So, I use first morning urine. sometimes if they get dark I test twice after holding it for a few hours in the evening. The time doesn't matter as much as your time. So if you work at 8:30 just do it after you get up in the morning.

I heard FMU was bad to do ?

I heard the same thing from my Dr, but she said ultimately it doesn't really matter and not to overthink it. She recommended second if i had the option. Some people swear by evening tests. I think you just find a time that works best for you because when it's positive, it will be positive no matter what time. I personally have never had a positive afternoon test...but I sometimes do it anyway just in case. I also drink A TON of water throughout the day so that may have something to do with it.

Have you heard about it being easier to get pregnant after metho?

No? I don't know why it would be. I've heard about it being easier after an HSG. Which I'm thinking of doing in January...My insurance doesn't cover it though and I think it's about 700 dollars...I'm kind of freaking out right now that I accidentally timed bding around an unexpected ovulation date. Look at my chart...doesnt it seem like I ovulated on the day I started temping? This is my first cycle after metho, hence the research but what are the odds...I mean really. It took me 8 mos to get preggo this last time. My HCG reached zero five days before I started temping.

How is it easier after a HSG? Yeah I was thinking abut doing it as well. But I haven't really looked into it. And yeah it kind of does look like you ovulated then. Did you use protection? I'm sure you'll be fine. But I've heard of people saying it took them awhile to conceive before but when they tried right after there ectopic they got pregnant right away. Just keep an eye on it. I'm sure it'll all be fine. Don't stress.

I didn't use protection because I thought I was a long ways from O. Pretty dumb, but I have like no symptoms except my bb's are a bit inflated, but not even as much as they usually are for AF. I think the HSG is supposed to help temporarily because tubes are completely cleared out. It's a mixed statistic...not a lot of data and could be coincidence.

Ah gotcha. Well don't stress. Even if you are you'll be monitored really closely. And if you're not then just be extra careful till you feel like you are ready to try again.
