Hi everyone. I had a ectopic treated with methotrexate sept 6th. I just now got my period. I was wondering if anyone has conceived after the first period? I obviously want to wait till after my next one but I was wondering if anyone conceived after the first one and everything was fine? I'm just so tired of waiting. I know it's risky so I wouldn't unless my doctor told me I could. I don't want to go through that again.

I had a missed miscarriage late August and had to take misoprostol to start the miscarriage September 1st. I bled for two weeks and spotted off and on until I got my period Septmeber 30th.
We are now TTC , I should be ovulating in a few days and we have been DTD regularly.
I am also wondering the same thing, would like to hear stories of women who conceived after there first period after miscarrying .. To give me hope!

By the way, my doctor told me you only have to wait one period after the miscarriage to try again , not sure if it's different with ectopics but I woild say go ahead and give it a shot when your period is over !

Don't do it.
You have no folic acid in your system. You are at a much higher risk of neural tube defects. In the uk you are advise to wait 6 months, I think in some countries it is 3 months but I definitely wouldn't ttc next cycle.

Mummof1- yeah I think because of it being in your system you shouldn't. I don't want to just do it. Some people say that they're doctors tell them they can but I don't think they were gave methotrexate for it. It's a harsh drug I would be scared.
