TTC after recent MC

Hi ladies,

Bit of back story... I was unaware I was pregnant, hubby and I decided we were going to ttc baby #3 once I'd had my next period as I hadn't been tracking so had no idea where I was in my cycle.... but I found out I was pregnant after losing the baby at the hospital last week.

I've passed the baby and 2-3 large clots, since then the bleeding has slowed down a lot.. obviously not ready to have sex again yet as it's only been a week tomorrow, but I felt I couldn't ask the hospital the questions I had as I'd just suffered an MC and didn't want them to think I was a bit loopy!

My main question is how long did you wait before trying again? I plan to wait until I've stopped bleeding completely before having sex again as I don't want to risk infection etc, but I feel like I just can't wait. We had already decided to TTC so this has come as a total confusing mess!

I'm so sorry for your loss. That's so hard.

After my MC, my dr told me I could have sex again whenever I felt ready, and they recommended 2 weeks as a sort of standard time frame. You could also give them a call to ask now that it's been a week--or better yet, make hubby do it. I hope this helps!

I am so sorry for you loss..
I had a missed miscarriage and had D&C and my doc told m to wait for 3 months and now we are TTC again and now I am in 10DPO waiting to see a BFP.

Thankyou. Sorry for your loss too. Mine happened naturally and havent required any treatment so doc basically said i can do as i wish. FXd for your bfp!

I'm very sorry for your loss! I've always been advised to wait at least 1 cycle, and 3 is preferable.
