Hello, everyone!
My husband and I have just started TTC #1. Financially, we are in a decent place now, but my husband is starting a nursing program in January (and I am currently a nurse). He's going to do his best to work part-time while he's in school, but from personal experience, I know how tough that is. Fortunately, it's part-time, and partially online, but time is going to be tight.
However, we're reaching the big 30, and don't want to wait any longer. I work overnights and can easily switch to working all weekends, if need be, and he'll be in class, out of the house, probably 2-3 days per week. Therefore, in terms of childcare, we'd be able to cut that down as little as possible. I've done the math, and we could make it work on just my salary, but it would be very, very tight.
Have any of you found yourselves in a situation like this? I mean, of course, we might not even be successful and then we'd end up waiting until he was done with school, but we're hoping we are.
If you were in a similar situation, how did you make it work?
Thanks in advance
