TTC best to have sex everyday or every other day?

hey guys. been TTC #2 for 10 months, nothing happening! me and DH have sex everyday a week before i'm due to OV and 3 days after (just for good measure )

however, getting mixed reviews on whether to have sex every day like we are or if every other day is better. DD was a 'whoopsie' so haven't got any to go off from my first pregnancy.

any advice greatly appreciated! xx

I have been told by the Fertility Specialist that 3 times a week covers you. This is because sperm can live up to 5 days inside you.

I was told to do it every other day throughout the month, not just when I was ovulating. It worked! I got pregnant the second month of trying. We also used Conceive Plus Lube which we got from Boots which really helped I think.

I can tell you that we had been TTC for 7 months, and the month we decided to just DTD every other day and not worry about OPKs etc is the month I got pregnant.

the more a man ejaculates the the more his reproductive system must be highly-efficient in creating new sperm so bd as much as you like!

I've read that if your partner has normal sperm count, everyday is good. If his levels are low, then every other day or every 2 days.

We dtd everyday when trying for my little boy and it worked on the first cycle.

This time we dtd every other day, currently first cycle for us.

We are currently doing it every other day. When I got pregnant in Dec we only did it 2 times the whole month!

I took clomid this month and my doc told me to bd on cd15-23 every day or every other day. I have tried every other day, I have tried everyday, we have tried pauses, nothing seems to work lol for us at least so I figure I am gonna enjoy myself as much as possible so that if it continues to not work It wasn't in vain.

If you are up to it, I think every day would be best. Because if you did every other day in hoping that sperm numbers would increase, you would need them to increase more than 100% to offset the day you didn't do it.

in early april we did it only on the monday and friday of my fertile week as my DH was away working tues wed and thurs... and low and behold i released 2 eggs and they both got fertilised (no idea how i released 2 eggs???).... didnt have a happy ending but just shows that you dont have to do it every day!!!!!
