Ttc buddy or buddies needed. I'm on 3rd round clomid cd 6

Hi ladies,

I could really use someone to talk to. My dh and I have been actively ttc our 1st for over a year and a half. I have pcos and factor v leiden. I wasn't getting periods on my own so I took provera. Now that I have been using clomid I have periods and I have ovulated each use but still no bfp. Dh has low quality/mobility. So he started a vitamin to hopefully help. This cycle I am going to try softcups since I've heard good thing about them. At this point I'd try almost anything. I am also trying the hcg trigger shot for the first time this cycle.

How did u end up with ur 3rd round?? What is softcups? lol
Im 25 pcos and ttc for over 5 years now, 3rd round clomid on cd 7 atm.

Hi Amby,

My third round of clomid was unsuccessful and so was my 4th. I am now on my second round of Femera/Letrozole. I was told at my U/S appt on monday that the meds didn't work so I have not ovulated (yet!! Wishful thinking) I'm on cd 19 so it could happen lol! Soft cups are cup like devices originally used for menstral periods as a safer option vs tampons. For ttc you insert it after baby dance to hold in sperm close to cervix. I tilt my bum up for about 15mins+ before inserting the cup so the semen are closer to the cervix. I heard about them from other women ttc. No leaking!! * if inserted correctly * Google them.

My FS told me im running out of options that my insurance will cover. She wants to start daily shot next or another round of clomid dispite have horrible side effects each time. I'm getting worn out. DH and I are considering taking a break so I can settle into my new job with out feeling like sh*t everyday. Otherwise im doing ok. Not to mention my younger teen age sister is about to have her baby end of this month or beginning of next.

Hopefully u will still ovulate late is better than never (that's my wishful thinkin haha)
We r just doin 6rounds clomid with gyno n see what happens, specialist just kept pushing for ivf and that's not a financial option for us ATM, my brother 21 has also just had a baby with his gf and she was Apparenlty on 'the pill' (don't believe that tho) so I no how frustrating that is, when other have been trying for a long time,,!!!
Hmm will definitely look into the softcups thing.

Are u temping or opks to see if u do Ov soon?

Yea my FS keeps mentioning iui and IVF but we cant afford it either. We are saving up for iui since its much cheaper but our insurance will not cover anything that has to do with iui or IVF so we have to pay for the meds, ultra sounds and dr. visits/ monitering. It adds up expesially if we have to do it more then once. Let's hope it doesn't come to that. I want natural insemination anyways but then again I wanted natural everything but we can't always get what we want especially when what we really want is to complete our family.

Just a tip for the soft cups practice with one first before using after bb so you can get a feel for it. I put some preseed on it so it was more comfortable. I did have trouble removing it at first till I learned the trick of pushing it out. (Tmi) My husband did help remove it when my nails were too long. Lol!

I am not temping since I don't sleep well at night. You have to sleep like 4 hours straight I believe to get an accurate reading. I tried it but my temps were always crazy on the chart. I can't use opk either because they don't work for me at all since I have pcos. I have used them for a few cycles and they always said the same thing no matter were I was in my cycle. My FS said this is normal for some ppl with pcos. I know my body pretty well and can usually tell when I am about to ovulate by my symptoms slight nausea, hightend sense of smell and my cm which usually is in abundance and around that time.

Have you tried anything besides clomid? Any side effects from clomid?
