Hi all, I'm new to this forum so I apologize in advance for not using the proper abbreviations for this subject lol

So to start off my DH(23) and I (21) have decided to TTC for our very first baby! We're very excited :)
As a teenager my period was always regular, I knew when it would come on the dot but when I got married they became irregular.. I started to become a week late, then two weeks, then a whole month and the last time it was 6months absent!! So since that was very unusual I went to go see a doctor and everything was fine.ultrasound showed no issues.. Well as of 7 months ago they started coming on their own every month! I'm guessing whatever was wrong is corrected? Well anyways, we decided to buy fertilaid for both of us since we read tons of positive success stories and I'm hoping we get our bfp soon! Has anyone else tried fertilaid? Did it work for you? And if it did work, what was your schedule like for taking the pills? We're new to TTC so any tips and/or tricks will be very helpful to us :) thanks girls!!

:dust::dust::dust::dust:

hi im 25 (26 in nov) and my OH is 25. We have been together for 8years, have both just qualified as Nurses. I was regular when i was on the pill but changed to the implant as I was useless at remembering to take it. I had constant bleeding for the whole 4months i had it in. I had it taken out about 2 years ago and have been NTNP whilst we finished our studies. Now i am wanting to TTC and but my cycles are really long. I have had some cycles where I have had a 70day cycle then can have cycles which are 32 days. I am going to start taking Vitex as it should hopefully regulate my cycles so i can pinpoint ovulation. Havent tried fertilaid, is it vitamins??

nice to chat to some ladies in the same situation. I prefer the TTC#1 more than the TTC forums

xxxxx

Hi I am quite new too. I am 35 and Dh is 32. How long have you been TTC and how many DPO are you now, girls?
We have been TTC for 15 months and it's getting more frustrating now, at least for me. Dh is more relax about it.
My cycle is normally 28-30 days, but I've had 25 day cycle the first months after we got married.
It's nice to have TTC buddies and share things especially during the two week wait (TWW) ;)

i should be ovulating today but because im so irregular i will do a ovultion test. Havent used any contraception for 2years now.

Kaniya-My boyfriend is also like ur DH taking a relaxed approach, he always laughs when he sees ive been on BNB, i dont think he realises how hard it can be TTC especially as a woman. I said to him the other day that I cant see my life with no children in and i wouldnt feel like my life was fulfilled without them.

Im all up for going and getting both of our fertility checked but I think he is too embarrassed to go.

grrrr so frustrating!

Hi! I'm also new here and haven't learnt to lingo yet!
I'm also 21 my partner is 22 ☺️ We've been together just over 5 years. I've been on the pill for a few years now took my last lot the beginning of this month! Ah exciting lol
I had my 'bleed' on the 8th..then again on the 24th? Not sure what that's about!
I can't remember what my cycles were like before so not charting etc (yet!) hoping to catch naturally without the plotting...
Will be nice to see how everyone gets on 😊

Well, last year he laughed when I started BBT charting but now he started to realize that time passed and always ended up with the witch showing her ugly face every end of cycle.
I started checking by myself. I did some test, including HCG last August to know if the tubes are fine. Everything's ok then I kept whining to him asking him to get his fertility checked then finally he did last month. The swimmers are ok too. They just said we need to relax which is the hardest thing to do.
Don't worry, Alicea...soon he will realize how important it is for him too.

I think its better for you to start charting your BBT before using ovulation test at least for 2 cycles then you combine both. I started doing both this month after charting for 5 cycles and my obgyn gave me follic acid vitamins but it seems like it messed my cycle up this month.

Praying for BFPs for everyone!!

Hi! I'm in similar situation to you hun. My periods were regular as clockwork as a teenager. Then due to my disability I became unwell and didn't have periods for 6 years. I thought I'd wrecked my body. Meeting my husband changed my life and they returned. All is good according to my specialist and GP and also my gynae. But, am only on my 3rd cycle after coming off bc to regulate my periods since once they returned they just were a complete joke - coming every 2 weeks, sometimes just after 7 days. Now we are trying, I am PRAYING my cycles will regulate and I'll have a decent luteal phase to help any egg that may get fertilised implant.

Currently on CD11 and have had 3 positive OVKs, 3 full ferning tests and today everything seems to be turning the other way. Hoping it'll just show I have O'd and my period won't come at all if I hope properly ;), but hope if it does it won't be for a good time to give me a good luteal.

Hi Ladies, it's nice to hear that a few of you guys are in the same situation as me! I thought I was weird for having weird periods AFTER marriage lol I'd love to keep in contact with all of you to watch our journeys into motherhood! I'm sorry I can't reply to each of you at this moment as I am working but as soon as I'm home resting I will reply to all of you :)
I'm excited I got replies on my thread lol

Hi veunica! I wonder why that happened to us with our periods becoming irregular, maybe newlywed emotions?? Lol have they become regular again?

P.s I'll be your TTC buddy haha

Hi alicea, I've also had bad experiences with birth control , I tried it once and it made me bleed for 6 weeks straight!!! It was horrible lol so I stopped that real quick!

And fertilaid is a prenatal plus vitamin type thing thats been known to increase/enhance fertility! You should Google the success stories, they're amazing. Of course it doesn't work everyone but it's worth a shot :)
Its deinitely nice to chat with TTC people!!

Hello kaniya, I think I'm gonna be ovulating tomorrow according to my chart, so no dpo yet.I should really start using opks to pinpoint ovulation lol it's frustrating, but I've told myself in the past "I might not be pregnant yet but at least I'm getting my periods" lol its scary when your periods just go MIA..
Good luck though, to all you ladies. We'll be preggo soon! Keep your hope :)

Kariss, that's exciting!!
You might've had two bleeds cause I've heard when your body comes off of BC especially after having it for a few years, your cycles will be wacky for a little bit lol
Hope you get a bfp soon..
You might even be more fertile since you're off birth control now :D I've known girls to take BC just so they can miss or stop on purpose and they got pregnant pretty fast lol
Good luck!

Samstormchase, I'm glad they came back :) I'm hoping you get your bfp, all this struggle will be worth it in the end when we see that positive test!!
Good luck :)

Thanks hunny :) it really is good to chat to others in similar situation - I'm going stir crazy atm. I've had 3 positive OVKs and good ferning results but no cross line on my chart yet so I have NO idea if I am so many days DPO or what! I had a 'fever' high temp yesterday which has screwed up my BBTs which has really bummed me out, but hoping in next couple of days I'll get the cross line and I'll know how may days past O I am. Since I am hoping so much for a decent LP for an egg to implant.

I am also getting mood swings and stuff now so starting to PMS!

Definitely, 100% your body can be really messed up for a good while after coming off bc. I was only on it for around 2 years so I am hoping my body will rectify itself quite quickly - but if people have been on it for years and years it can take sometimes 18 months or so, depending, to get back to 'normal'.

I just hope we all get BFPs and having a baby will correct our cycles LOL - that happens a lot. As well as the opposite though.

HUGS to everyone :D

PS... how do you share Fertility Friend charts to this forum??

PS it IS really scary when your perods just stop. Completely agree. I'd resound to the fact I was infertile and the day I began bleeding again I cried and cried so relieved. People moan about having periods - and yes they're not pleasant by ANY means, but you and I both clearly know that at least having them means we are healthy and on our way to being able to have a baby. Yes not the be all and end all, but it's WAY better than nothing.

Samstormchase,
Dang, isn't it crazy how any little thing can throw off something in our bodies? I hope you get your bfp, I can't imagine the feelings I would feel when I see a second line on an hpt lol that emotional feeling keeps me going through this TTC journey.

And I'm not sure about the fertility friend chart, I haven't made one yet but I should. I'll make one and try to post it..

And definitely about the periods.. I see girls complain and wish they never had it but mann, when I didn't have a period at all I felt less of a woman. Idk if that's weird but I felt bad about not having one. It's not pleasant to have one but its way less pleasant to NOT have one either lol it's a lose lose situation but I'm really really happy I at least have them back :) and naturally! Before I would take provera (progesterone pills) to force them out.

I'm going to jump in on this thread too.

I'm 26 and Hubby and I just decided to start trying for baby no. 1 this month. Yay! <3

I had regular periods until I got on BC. then my body freaked out... I would get 2 a month most months ...such a joy.

This is my first month off of BC and I've never felt better. AF is due tomorrow and I haven't had my normal symptoms so I'm hoping that I might get a BFP! eek!

When are you ladies due to test? I'm going to try to wait until Friday..

Fingers crossed for you all! <3

Hi kimmybeesweet, that's very exciting!
I'm not due to test for two weeks lol (if I miss my period). According to my chart I'm "supposed" to ovulate today, so we'll see :)

I hope you get your bfp! Keep us updated :)
