TTC for over a year, irregular cycles

Hello ladies,

DH and I have been TTC for over a year now and no luck so far
My cycles are very irregular, ranging from 28-60 days.
I have recently been doing acupuncture for about a month now, and drinking a herbal tea that was prescribed by my acupuncturist, so it will be interesting to see if I notice any changes in my cycle this month.

My blood test results are...
Prolactin 31.5 ug/l (I'm told its a little high but nothing to worry about)
LH 6.6 U/L
FSH 5.4 U/L
Estrodial 119 pmol/l
TSH 3.3

I'm on day 18 of my cycle today, I haven't really been getting any CM yet.
I had a transvaginal ultra sound today, the tech didn't tell me anything, I saw about 4-5 black spots in each ovary, don't know what this can be? It didn't really look like the "string of pearls" that they say you have with PCOS, but then again what do I know?
My report will be in with my doctor by tuesday, so i'll see her next friday to get the results.

I just wanted to know if anyone out there is in the same boat as me? If anyone has similar numbers as I do?

DH and I are booked in to see a fertility doctor at the end of march, fingers crossed for a surprise BFP before our appointment! That would be amazing!

Hello! I have been trying for 9 months now and have not ovulated. I am currently being tested for PCOS. If I have PCOS I will be an atypical presentation, I am not over weight, no male pattern hair growth. My current symptoms are no periods and body acne.

Many women have a lot of success with acupuncture, I hope it helps regulate your cycles. I did a 6 visit treatment with an acupuncturist. From December- January.

I just did my labs yesterday for a PCOS panel. They took four tubes of blood. I have a follow up scheduled the first week of March with my OBGYN to discuss the results and come up with a game plan. Looks like I will be starting clomid in March.

There is a support thread on this page for us "irregular gals", feel free to jump on and share your story/join the conversation. Some of the members have PCOS, some have long cycles, some have other health issues that cause irregularity.

Hi. I have very similar results.

Prolactin 549 mu/L (apparently this is higher than normal range)
FSH 5.3u/L
LH 5.1 u\L
Estradiol <100 pmol/L
Testosterone 0.5 nmol/L
TSH 3.5 mu\L

Waiting on progesterone still...

We've only been ttc a couple of months but been ntnp pretty much since my son was born 2 years, 4 months ago which is why dr has started fertility testing. I have had all of the following things happen since December: irregular cycles, late/missing ovulation, short LP and really painful breasts. Wasn't really tracking before that point

My main concern at this point is getting prolactin down. I am expecting low progesterone too
