Hello all.
Please, no judgements.
I have been on antidepressants for over five years now. I started taking them about 15 years after I should have! I was diagnosed with depression as a teenager. I am currently taking Cymbalta, which has a dual purpose as I also have Fibromyalgia. My husband and I are TTC.
Cymbalta is a class C drug, meaning that it caused some issues with weight gain and low birth weight, etc in rabbits in testing but it has no real evidence when used on people. (something like Paxil is a class D, meaning there is enough evidence to know it is bad for pregnant women) Everything I have read said that doctors take it on a case by case basis with antidepressants and pregnancy. If and when we become pregnant, I plan to have this discussion with my doctor.
I was just wondering if any of you all have any experience with TTC or being pregnant while taking antidepressants.
