Hi ladies,
I used to LOVE spending hours on BnB but now it is just depressing to watch all my friends/people on here come and go through ttc and all the way through their pregnancies when I have nothing happening... I have no idea what is wrong/if something is wrong. We are plenty stable but we have no health insurance because the coverage won't cover enough to pay for itsself. It wouldn't cover fertility testing anyway. I do have a few PCOS symptoms (weight gain, long irregular painful cycles, and acne) but I'm of course neither confirmed or denied. I am at a loss as to what I am suposed to do...do I keep trying until we figure our insurance out? Is there some thing I can do? I live in the US and I don't truely know anything about this. I feel like I need to give this more time because I just seem to be getting some kind of regularity (down to 40 days from over 100!) And I wonder if it just taking this long to get back regular? Do I consider myself over the year of trying mark even though I only had 5 periods last year? I am so confused..- just don't even know where to start deciding what to do...

i'm not sure how to advise you... but i really hope that things go well for you, whatever you decide.

insurance is a real bitch... it makes decisions hard. if you have a chance to have funded cycles, my choice would be to wait for that. i would hate to make decisions based on what i could afford... not what was best.

good luck, love.

I would definitely venture away from ttc and come over to lttc. Or at least look at our forum. My advice to you would be to continue to try until you are completely financially stable to handle fertility treatments. Most people don't have insurance that will cover fertility treatments. I, for one, do not have coverage for any kind of fertility treatments. They cover a portion of clomid and some introductory testing.

I would get a vaginal sonogram to rule out cysts and get your husband to have a semen analysis. Have them do the normal blood tests... if you haven't already done them. Next, after trying for awhile they might have an hsg to rule out blocked tubes. Then, if you are still not pregnant they may have a laparoscopy to rule out endometriosis.

It is a long road, but we all feel your sadness. Good luck to you! I have had it all done... We are starting IVF in April. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I go through the SIRM institute. They are all over the US, and they are pretty resonable with pricing. Take care!:hugs:

Oh yeah... going to see an RE will help you to regulate your cycles. The sooner you go; the sooner you will be pregnant... My DH had me wait longer than I wanted too, but we are finally on track :)
