i am 33 now with two kids (ages 4 and 2)
i would love to have another baby - would be our last- but not really ready as the kids are still so small. we are ok financially, just have our hands full with work and the little ones

ideally i would wait a few more years, but the clock is ticking... i have had some miscarriages in the past so it might take a while to get the baby

any opinions on my options? i wanted to start ttc in the fall, then hopefully i would still have some time before i am 35. or should i wait another year or two? does it really make a difference?

Hi stella.
I have to say I was not ready for kids and even when we started trying to ttc I wasn't sure. Then after 4 months of ttc (aand 1 mc) I decided to start the pill again when I got af. Needless to say it never arrived and I am blessed with a beautiful daughter. I'm so glad she is in my life. I decided I'd like two children so when dd was 9 months old and I had just turned 35 we decided to try for another. I thought we'd have one by now. Nothing happened for 7 months. Then I had a mc followed by a mmc. Now I am 36 and 10 weeks and if this pregnancy goes well baby will be born when I am 37 with an age gap of three years.

So if you do wait just be prepared that ot may take a few years to get pregnant as scientifically it is harder to get pregnant after 35. Having said that some people get pregnant pretty quickly after 35 but fertility does decline.
even knowing that though I was not ready for children before when we started ttc.

Hi Stella I have 3 children & trying for number 4 - but not very successfully due to my age! ...... No denying it the jump from 2 to 3 is hard especially when they are little & need u more but in saying that there is something to be said for getting all the sleepless nights & nappies out of the way. Sorry if that is no help whatsoever lol ..... ultimately only u can decide when to go for it hun. I do think u have time on ur side though. I had my first at 35, second at 38 & third at almost 41 - it's only now heading for 44 that I'm struggling to get a healthy bean xx good luck whatever u do hun xx

Spud congrats on ur sticky bean happy & healthy 9 months to u hun xx

Hi, why don't you try NTNP when fall arrives, if it's ment to be its ment to be. Xx good luck in whatever u wish for xxx

Personally, I would suggest you try NTNP till fall. If nothing happened when fall arrived, I would say you can start TTC. The reason is simple, the younger you trying to conceive, the higher chance of getting pregnant you will have. Good luck!

Personally I would say if you want another go for it. I started TTC DS at before I turned 35 he was born just after I turned 36. Been trying for baby 2 since before my 37 birthday and now 40 and its looking increasingly unlikely it is going to happen.

Perhaps see a fertility doctor for advice? Most people don't have issued until late 30s but a few basic tests could give you a better picture.
