I've been on the 5:2 diet for almost 2 years - some weeks more strictly than others, but overall I view it as a lifestyle that helps me maintain a steady weight and keep healthy.
But when I start TTC soon, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to carry on with it? My body is used to it, so it's not like anything is changing, but I don't want it to affect my cycles in any way. Does anyone have any experience of this?
Obviously I would stop if I got pregnant, because as much as I don't mind making myself temporarily hungry and cold, that's probably not healthy for an unborn baby... but what are people's views on doing it until then?
