TTC, thought I may be pregnant but just weird menstrual period?

So last week my period was 4 days late, then I started spotting (very faintly) which lasted for 2 days. Then I had very heavy bleeding Friday. Saturday and Sunday were both extremely light, and normally my period is heavy for the first 3 days (lasts a total of 6 usually). I haven't had and passing of clots, which has never happened before either. So I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what the heck is going on? I haven't called my doctor yet, I didn't know if there was any reason to. Thanks for any help anyone can offer me!

Have there been any changes in your life, such as extreme stress, weight gain, etc that would have caused you to be late? I'm thinking you just had a late period... I have had that happen several times. I didn't see a doctor about it until it had been happening for over a year, and my OB thought it might've been PCOS but wasn't totally convinced due to my lack of other symptoms.

Thanks! Yeah, you're right it's probably just a weird period. Just wanted to get any feedback because my periods are always the same. Thank you for your post!

Oops, sorry forgot to mention that I haven't had any many major changes in life. No weight gain or loss, no stress besides the norm.
