Hi All,

I had a miscarriage in April 2013 and my CD 21 progesterone was 12 ( though I started extra a week after +be preg test). In September 2013 it was 8 and now CD 21 level is 6.8. Also I don't get positive on ovulation kit every cycle. So REI doctor says ovulation is not happening properly and I should take clomid and try IUI. But my OBGYN says its fine and extra progesterone will be given upon positive pregnancy test.

Qs. Would that be sufficient or I should insist my OBGYN to start extra on CD17 or CD21 ?
Qs. Should I repeat any CD 3 tests or get AMH done ?. My levels in August 2013 were FSH-6.8, Prolactin-7, Estradiol-56
Qs. Or do you think if we don't go by REI, it can create some risk for post conception issues ?

Thanks
Sid

The RE would be the one to listen to. Some ob/gyns just catch the baby and don't really know about all that stuff. And I would find a new ob too, since most of them know that if your progesterone on CD21 isn't over 10, there's a problem.

My progesterone levels were similar with 6.0 to 9.0 range. I've had several chemical pregnancies before being successful finally on progesterone suppositories given to me starting after ovulation. My re said implantation cannot properly happen with levels like mine were hence the chemical pregnancies. I'm a firm believer in progesterone supplements and will be on it again when we start trying next month.
