TTC with older man

Hi there! I’m 31 and he is 53. This would be my first and his second after 19 years. He has a 19 year old. Currently on 5th month of trying. Due to start period tomorrow but hoping I don’t.

Eeee, wishing you a bfp this month love. Male fertility doesn’t generally decline with age if they’re in good shape/health. Are you using opks, bbt etc?

We just used preseed this month after 5 months and it got us our bfp

My daughters dad was 18 years older than me and we basically got pregnant by accident, after only knowing each other a few months.. it was a rebound thing. Wasn’t meant to happen but I wouldn’t change her for the world.

Thank you! What is BBT? I used ovulation kits the first two months and I ovulate 14 days past ovulation but then have a short luteal phase. My cycle is only 25 days. I’ll have to look in to this pre-seed! I have been trying 5 months and thinking I’m about to start AF. So was going to try the mucous thinner this next time. Thank you! And congrats on the BFP!

Basel body temping - you can pick up the appropriate thermometer on amazon as too the preseed - it’s basically a lube that’s just like your cervical mucus and aids the sperm getting to egg! So if you don’t have great ewcm ( egg white cervical mucus) this is a great product! Best of luck xx

Anytime He has a bit of a shady past that, again, because it was so quick & unexpected I didn’t know at the time so that can get in the way. We don’t really get along that well now if I’m honest. weren’t you testing today?!

I did get BBT for this next go around. Started my period today so will be trying again soon

AF Came in today, one day later than expected. so will be trying again next go around

So I am in sort of the same boat, I just turned 30 and my DH is going to be 42 this year. We have been trying since Feb, pretty sure we had a CP in May but no luck otherwise. He has 3 girls to his ex 18,15 and 13 and I have 2 girls 13, and 9. It maybe crazy for us to try for another but I always dreamed of having 3 children myself and I made sure when him and I got together that if I said about having another baby he would be on board and he is. Its just different for us. When I tried for my youngest with my ex we got pregnant our first cycle and my DH said it was the same way with him and his ex wife. I am sure both of our ages has a little bit to do with it but I also had a LEEP procedure done and was told it could affect my ability to get pregnant. I am on CD11 today and I usually O on or around CD14, not really sure we will have much time to BD this weekend which stinks but this cycle I am trying to not stress about things and just let them happen as they happen
