Hiya hun. I am not TTC but I do have PCOS and I am 21. If you ever wanted to chat about it then just come fine me. Good luck though x x xx

I was told at 15 (now 27) that I had PCOS but said they wouldn't do anything untill TTC. I mentioned it to my new doctor and they don't seem bothered. I just don't know what to do. My DH and I have been ttc for nearly 6 months. I know thats nothing compared to you kathrynsmummy but it's still frustrating when not getting any support x

my doctor doesnt seem bothered either because of my age which is really annoying..i am now takin agnus catus to regulate my periods and hopefully help me concieve. xx

hi, can I join?.... I was diagnosed with PCOS 11 years ago, 2 children (concieved on clomid) and a loss later I am trying for #3 and struggling to get help from the GP... I have moved into a different county so am having to go through all of the tests again before they will treat me, despite having my notes??!!!
when I was diagnosed with it many years I was told it would improve after having children but I cant see how with all the problems I have. It's a long journye ahead of me and it'd be great to share it with some others :)

of course you can join hun..having my duaghter brought my pcos to light and i havent been able to carry or concieve since. i don't think the doctors know how we feel and what we are going through. x

Hello all,

I thought there would be more people for this group. Maybe they are in Long term ttc??

Any who we been trying for almost a year. I've known I had PCOS since I was about 18. Have a very irregular cycle and pretty much all the symptoms of PCOS bar the underdeveloped boobies lol.

I need to lose like a stone to get my periods back on track I think. I could use a buddy who understands.

Can i join girls i got told in july i have pcos through ultrasound and blood test, very mild she told me however still affectng ttc i am sure!!

Been trying since stopping bc last agust and on cycle 10.. periods range from around cd38 to cd60 and no idea if ovulate or not :(

Lost about 8lbs so far in weight but its takin ages to shift but really trying to get to my target weight of 11stone when back at the gyno for hsg scan in about 4 weeks!!

I can say i am little over weight but not to the point where the doctor said it was anything to worry about.. i have read losing 10 percent of body weight can help with cycles so thats wot i am willin to try!! I got another 7lbs to go in 4 weeks and goin to try my best to loose that weight, just finding it so hard since stoppin bc to loose weight anyone else find this problem?

xx

Hey beauty,

I find it hard to lose weight too. I'm at the top of my BMI and docs think being closer to the other end would be beneficial.

I found folowing a diabetic diet helped but it was hard to follow. I like cake!

Hi Ladies, Just a quick question really... i'm having problems with constantly positive opks (they have always worked fine in the past (year or so))this cycle and i'm wondering if it could be a sign of PCOS? I don't have any other symptoms of PCOS, my cycles have always been regular (ish) and this is the first time this has happened.

Wondered if any of you ladies might be able to offer any kind of explaination?
TIA Cx

Some women with PCOS have elevated levels of leutenizing hormone (LH), which can make the OPKs always come out postive. Doesn't happen with everyone, but it is a possibility.

Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 13 and told I'd probably never have children...a few years ago a specialist told me that I shouldn't listen to any doctor that says I can not concieve! He said that it's completely possible and that many women with PCOS have children.

So OH and I just decided to try and this is our first month trying. I'm hoping for the best!

I can't believe they told you that!

Here's hoping your ride to babydom is short. xx

I seem to just get no positives on an opk, had some really dark lines and maybe there are my positives who knows!! lol

This ttc is really hard work!!
xx

Hi Ladies, I've got my appointment booked with my doctor Oct 9th. Should I be asking for clomid and blood test etc. PCOS was diagnosed when I was 15 (28 next week)

Thanks for all your replies ladies regarding the +OPKs. Seems that although this sometimes happens it is really quite unusual.

I have yet another smiley face today so it seems my body has gone into some kind of overdrive... just hoping it's not a sign of menopause... i'm only 35!

Good luck to you all, i hope you get your bfps very soonx

hi ladies thanks for the great response..i am booking a appointment again with the doctor for more help my age shouldnt matter.
hope everyone is well..x
