Tugging and pulling at breast?

For the last few days, lo has been tugging and pulling himself off after a few minutes. I latch him on again and a minute later he pulls himself off again. I'm getting really sore because he's kind of stretching my nipple and is also still attached when he's pulling back!

I have had milk supply issues - I'm being referred to a breast Specialist as it looks like I have insufficient glandular tissue, causing low milk supply.

Do you think the tugging and pulling at breast could be related to my low milk supply? Lo also buries his face in my boob when he's attached and makes kind of angry/frustrated noises at the same time.

I've been using a supplementary nursing system so that lo is topped up with formula, he doesn't tug or pull when using this... X

My LO also does the face in the boob burying bit, and grunts like a little piggy. I just assumed that was normal...as much as grunting like a little piggy can be! For me, she doesn't seem frustrated, it's more like she just needs a stretch and a wriggle.

My LO will do the tugging and pulling (ouchie!!) and grunting noises occasionally. I notice it happens the most when he's tired and can't get to sleep. If he isn't doing this at every feeding then perhaps it's the same thing for your LO?

Oh my LO also does the face bury more often when she is sleepy

Mickey does the exact same when he is tired. When hr finally finds my boob he makes these little angry sucking noises and his eyes close x

He was doing it again so I took him off and burped him (I read online somewhere else he could be pulling off because he's in pain). He let out an almighty burp and when I latched him on again he was asleep within 20 seconds max... Haha. Must have been a combination of wind and being tired! Will see if it happens again xx

My lo used to do the tugging and snapping off the nipple, gosh that hurts doesn't it! I think it was from my poor milk supply because now that the milk is way up he hasn't done it in weeks
