Twin conception and menstrual cycle?

Hi, I am not pregnant yet, but wonder if I have a chance of having twins as my mom had fraternal twins. I've seen the occasional site or forum where people claim that women who are likely to have twins have similar menstrual cycles (length of cycle, regularity, length and heaviness of periods). I asked my mom, but she couldn't remember 5 kids later.

Have you noticed any patterns in this forum?
