May 24 Thursday*
Had some cramps that became contractions overnight.*
May 25 Friday contractions in the am were 5 min apart lasting 1 minute but then slowed down to 20 minutes apart.*
May 26 Saturday contractions slowed to an hour apart for the day. *Had pink discharge.*
May 27 sunday by 5am contractions were two in 10 minutes. Jeff and I went to the hospital, they checked me and I was fully effaced and only 1.5cm dilated. *They asked me to walk the halls, I threw up in a waste basket in the hall. By 11 am I still hadn't dilated anymore. So Jeff and I went home.*
Tried to nap but contractions picked up in pain level and were crazy strong by 10:30pm
May 28 Monday contractions continued and I tried showering and bathing to relieve pain. *At 1:30 am with 2-3 contractions in a minute lasting a minute to two each we headed to the hospital again. *
Got there and dealt with a really bitchy nurse from the night before who *treated me like I was waiting her time. She asked me how close they were and I as I was telling her my water broke. I told her I thought I wet myself. She asked me if I had a pad on, I told her yes and she gave me attitude about why I was wearing one if I still had my water. Told her it was due to loosing my plug. Which she then went on about how it was just blood from my check the day before not plug. *While lecturing me she checked me and I was 8cm dilated. *At that point her attitude changed. She put me in a chair and rushed me upstairs to the delivery rooms. I called my doula but at this point contractions were fast. Got into a hospital gown, answered their questions while I stood there pretty much peeing on their floor with each contraction. *I got the air and gas for a few minutes . *And then it was go time. At 6:17 am after 2.5 hours of pushing, Ember was born. 7 lb 13 oz 52 cm long.*
She had fluid in her lungs and was monitored for 9 hours before I got to breast feed and have her back in my room. But she's all good now and the happiest little girl. *

Oh and two small tears but no stitches. And Ember is strong enough to lift her own head and when laid on her back she self rolls to her side. So despite having a two cord vessel she's super strong and it doesn't seem to have affected her at all.
