Uggs - Pros and cons

Ooh they look a lot more practical than the standard uggs that I had!

I have a neuromuscular condition (Isaacs syndrome) and have contracture of my left foot needing support, the condition is worse in the cold. I have 3 pairs of uggs now, was 4 but my water broke in a pair of them  as I fit them more support that the bracings I was given!

I have awful circulation in my toes and suffer with chilblains and my uggs are a life saver in winter. I have the harder ones, they don't have a great grip but they're hardy and they've lasted me 3 years so far.

It depends which ones you are interested in, the suede ones like in the pic, start out nice then turn into the other pic. they go to the side, they look dirty, they are just vile horrible boots, tacky and disgusting IMO.. then you can get leather ones, i would recommend these, i had some fake ones and they lasted me almost a year, so you can imagine how long real ones would last, my toes were warm, the legs were warm, the ones i chose was a big difficult to get on and off, but my mum got some and hers were easy.
i loved them, i would defo recommend them and you can also buy things you put on your soes and they have spikes for grip.

defo dont get the suede ones though

The ones in the second picture Are fake.i have never ever seen a pair of suede ones go like that if they did I would take them back. That's not a true example of what they look like when worn after a year or two. The bottoms don't wear away like that.

I was just about to say the same! I've got three pairs, the oldest being 5 years old and they still look new, definitely no way near as worn on the soles and still hold their shape perfectly.

I would say those were fake too. Theres so many fake ones about!

the picture is a bit dramatic, but i had a pair of real suede ones bought from bank, and they wore away after a year, not as bad as the picture, the sole was still flat but they did slope to the side

That picture is of a really bad pair of fakes! I've had mine over a year and I wear them nearly every day, I walk loads as well. They hardly look work at all, apart from a bit of pony hair has rubbed off where they rub together.

I've ordered some of the cardy ones because of this! Now I'm wondering if I should send them back, does anyone have any like that?

Yep I do had them 4 years there like new. No wearing down in the sole there in perfect condition there beige as well.

Do they keep your feet/toes warm? ABSOLUTELY. Like heaven.

Are they lightweight/easy to pull on/off? Not lightweigh or heavy, but easy to get on and off.

Do they have good grip if frosty/icy/snow? I am sorry I can't answer as we don't have these.

Waterproof? Mine are water resistant, as I have the leather ones as opposed to the suede. I'd recommend.

Do they wear down quick? I don't know, just got them Christmas.

My only complaint is they are quite clunky. I don't mind the fact that they are flat as I prefer being as close to barefoot as possible, but they do alter my gait a bit and caused some adjustment strengthening my ankles.

If the soles are wearing unevenly (they are slanted with wear) it's your gait, not your shoe that is uneven. That is just how you walk and it's created more wear on that area.

They only look like that second picture if they arent genuine!
Ive had uggs for 8 years now and they last 3-4 winters - the only reason I change them is because the fur inside wears down and they arent warm anymore!
Ild reccomend them to anyone - so comfy!
xx

if they are the ones im thinking of i had a pair of these, but they didnt keep my feet warm, maybe nothing to do with the boot, maybe just my feet are always cold, but i wasnt sure if it was like the breeze going throught the holes, if that makes sense, i loved the style of them though, if i ever wanted to invest in uggs again id defo buy these ones again, or the cow print posted above :)

I fell over in a pair of uggs and smacked my head on a lamppost. Not the uggs fault about the head but definitely their fault i fell over, haven't worn them since...
