Uh oh!

Looks like the venue has thrown a spanner in the works for 4 weddings

Phoned up Friday and the duty manager said he couldn't see it being a problem but to phone back Monday.

Phoned back last night and the manager wasn't in. So I spoke to the weddings co-ordinator and she said she would get in touch with the manager as he had just left and let me know.

She phoned back to say he didn't want us to do it Something about he didn't want the hotel to be shown as a bad reputation amongst other things I was in the toilets in tesco when she phoned and I couldn't stop crying

Sent an email to the lady I have been speaking too and she has said she will phone him to explain about it and assure him that they will not put anything bad about the venue etc on the program and she will get back to me

We had just come round to the idea of having these extra people at the weddign and feeling as though it was part of our wedding and now the venue have gone and ruined it for us

Its our wedding we should be able to be filmed if we like

Just waiting to hear back now xx

Well got an email today and they have said no the wan
said he was dead set in his ways and didn't feel comfortable with it being on TV

I am so angry with them as it is our wedding and it's what we want! We are paying them all this money but they won't let us do what we want!! I have said to OH I have a good mind to write them a strongly worded email. If we hadn't already paid so much off the wedding we would be thinking twice about our venue as they are certainly showing themselves in a new light xx

So sorry to hear that i agree about the free publicity you'd think they'd jump at it then again it might be a risk if the tv show makes them look bad. I wouldn't bother with the the letter as your right you've already paid them too much to cancel so you wouldn't want them to give you sloppy service on the day and ruin it even more. Try and put it out of your mind now what's important is you an OH nothing else matters. xxx

The problem is, even if your day goes smoothly and everything is perfect for you, if the other brides slate the food, organisation, decoration or whatever, it will make the venue look bad.

How many times has it shown brides walking up to a venue going "oooh, it looks a bit shabby" and stuff like that!
