As it says in the title was just wondering if anyone has given birth at Princess Royal in Farnborough and if so what their experience was there. I've still got a way to go but would be nice to hear from people who have been there.

I haven't but I'm booked in here. I had a 2 night stay at 17 weeks after a bleed and was really well looked after and the staff were lovely.
Are you booked into the labour Ward or Oasis? I've heard Oasis is lovely, but I'm high risk unfortunately.

I am assuming this is a Farnborough other than Hampshire in the UK?

You are talking about the one in Kent right? I had my first there in 2012 and will be having my second this November. Generally i was happy how everything went, except 2 things, original midwife went for lunch like for 2 hours and when i felt urge to push noone was there, so DH had to go and find someone, baby hearth rate started dropping and doctor quickly rushed in and helped me to push him out without getting emergency C section. Second thing - we had to say 2 night because pediatrician who needed to check baby was too busy and aftercare was not the best or might be i was new mum
And disturbing staff too much :) last time i did it on gas and air ans pethadine, so this time i want to try Oasis natural birthing center which is located in the same floor.
If you have any questions, let me know

I had my first born in 2010 there.

Good points -
They let me stay there when they could have easily sent me home until I was more dilated but I kept going back and forth with it. One check I'd be 3cm dilated, on the next check, I'd be 2!
I was able to have gas and air, pethidine and much later on, an epidural
The midwives, overall, were lovely and supportive

Bad points -
I was in the induction suite overnight when I first came in and they sent my sons dad away when he could have stayed with me seeing as I was the only one there on that ward
I had medical students present when I had originally asked for none to be present but after 55 hours in labour, I couldn't be arsed to argue against it and I suppose in fairness, medical students do need the experience. However, when you've got your legs wide open, you've crapped yourself and all is available to see, half a dozen students seeing it all is a bit mortifying lol!

Overall, they were a good hospital and my son was delivered safe and sound so can't really complain
