Ultrasound question

Did any of you get a 3d/4d scan around 24-26 weeks that you could share? If so, did looking at babies face reveal the gender to you or look clearly one way or the other? Thanks!

I did. My picture is from the scan. We are team yellow and I don't think the scan gave anything away. =]

We had one done at 29 weeks. We know what we're having, but would have never guessed from the ultrasound. They focused on babies face the whole time

We had one at 23w and 29w - the 23w was supposedly 'a bit too early' but it was amazing and sooo much better than the 29w one. We couldn't see anything at all on it! I had to go back 6 times (yes 6!) because she wouldn't move and was too far into the pelvis.

Here is our 23w one (it says 24 because I said she was a little further on to get an earlier scan as we were going away the next day for 2 weeks and I was desperate to see her before we went!)


I knew she was a girl and I think she has a girly face - but that must be subconcious. I really don't think you'd be able to tell and we never saw her 'bits'.

Yeah at 29 weeks she was already so squished in there it was hard to get a good shot of her face. Took a good half hour and you can still see how smooshed her little nose is

I would definitely do it! It's so worth the money. We also got a dvd and Co of the whole thing. Plus I really helped dh bond tbh. He was so happy a proud daddy afterwards. Just go in telling them you don't want to know and they'll make sure you don't see anything.

I was thinking about posting a similar topic! I am debating whether or not to get a 3d scan. They used to creep me out because I felt like it was cheating to see the baby early, but now I've changed my mind and want one! I'm just trying to justify the cost, since we have other expenses with the baby coming soon too. Would be nice to have the photos in the end though, I'm thinking.

I LOVED having it done in my last two pregnancies.. I knew their gender.. That's my only reservation! I think it's an awesome thing to capture them in the womb like that!

We had one done at 30 weeks and we already knew what we were having but I'd say by just looking at the face, you can't tell for sure whether it's a girl or a boy. Even seeing these ultrasound photos, I can't picture exactly what he'll look like once I have him in my arms. I won't be able to see it until he's here and I compare real photos to the ultrasound photos I would definitely get the 3D ultrasound though! It's an amazing feeling to see your baby in 3D. It actually makes you feel a little closer to him/her. Even though I was always excited about having a baby and being pregnant, something changed when I saw my little guy in 3D. I can't quite explain it, but I am even more in love with him now

Just tell the tech upfront that you do not want to find out. our tech kept the picture up above the belly. Once she went to the feet but still couldn't see anything. She was good at it! lol

I found weeks 27-31 to give the best shots! After that we basically would only see an extremity. I was considered I risk and had to have scans from week 13. Here's my peanut!
