Evening ladies, more food drama from me!
Cooked chicken thighs for tea tonight, very nice they were too..cooked them for 50 mins at 220°.
They were still a bit pink by the bone, well a dark pink. They were also a biy chewy by the bone?
My sister ate them too and said they were ok but im just worried about getting sick :-(
Are chicken thighs supposed to be a bit pink by the bone?

yes, it's very difficult to get rid of the pink by the leg so i wouldn't worry about it. i had chicken like that on sunday and nothing happened to me. as long as most of it was white it should be fine. you'll probley find that the dark pink bits were most likly just the veins.

Yep, it's fine. Plus 50 minutes is really enough time to get them cooked. I make chicken a lot :) Don't worry.

Is tea what we call dinner? I thought I knew most of the language differences!

Dinner to me is lunch, tea is an evening meal. :-)
I get confused myself :haha:

Perfectly fine- went for dinner at the inlaws and i wasnt so sure about the dark pink on the born, but bump and i are fine this was two weeks back xxx do not worry

I wouldnt worry too much, I had a rotisserie chicken on sunday from a supermarket and everything was cooked (and delicious!) but the meat around the leg bones was dark pink, and its been the same for every chicken weve had and they have all always been cooked. Think its just hard to cook that colour out if that makes sense :)

Im still alive, not sick or anything :)
I can't wait til LO is here safe and sound so I can stop panicking about what I eat xx
