Unexplained Infertility

I am looking for some support. I have had unexplained infertility for almost 3 years now. We have tried multiple things from accupuncture, clomid, we have been tested twice by a RE and they can't give us a reason as to why we are not getting pregnant. I have two children I conceived on my own from a previous relationship so I don't know why it's so hard with my husband.My next step is to try IVF which we will be starting end of June. I am looking for someone that has a similar situation. I have been told many times stop trying and it will happen, In Gods timing it will happen. I feel like after so long you need to seek medical help and clomid is clearly not working I have been on it two different times and neither time as it helped me get pregnant. I feel like giving up at times but I do not want to do that.

Has your husband been tested?

Yes he has twice he had sperm analysis and a genetic test...I on the other hand have had blood work ultrasounds HSG the whole nine yards and everything came out fine.

It took me 3 years to get pregnant with my first son . No reason as to why had a lap and dye and got pregnant thatno idea if kit helped or not but I've been pregnant twice since . I wasn't trying at all the cycle I feel pregnant as I thought it would be impossible x

Have you had a hysteroscopy yet?

Is that where they insert the dye to check your tubes if so yes. Also we are not tracking anything so i hope it happens soon its been three years now.

Hi kowalczyks how are things going for you? I am also unexplained currently at 3 and a half years now. Are you still starting IVF in June? We will be starting mid June sometime. Let me know how you get on? We can let each other know how we are going

Hi, it must be very frustrating for you to not have any identifiable cause for not getting pregnant after trying for so long. Studies have shown that after 3 years of unexplained infertility that a couple’s chance of getting pregnant on their own declines to less than 50% of what it was when they first started trying. So I believe this is the right time and hope an IVF serves a solution to your unexplained infertility. Best luck.

I'm unexplained too finally got bfp after two years and it was ectopic!!

So annoying, the cycle I got my bfp I tried baby aspirin and reflexology don't know if it helps but once I get AF I'm going for reflexology again

I think your problem is kind of similar to secondary infertility. You might want to do some researches, and go to see a doctor to find out more.

We have unexplained infertility too. DH and I have been trying to conceive since Sept 2012. A couple years ago we had the basic tests of HSG, LH, FSH, progesterone and SA done. We were told these were all normal but I was never told any numbers. We are starting up tests again. Last week I went in for my day 3 blood tests, which consisted of 12 vials of blood. I still have to go back for day 21 tests and my husband is having a second SA. I have very regular AF and I have tried 3 cycles of Clomid. Our next step is iui.

Do you have plans for moving forward? That's was the hardest part for me, feeling like there was nothing I could do.

I'm in this same category of unexplained infertility and it's been frustrating since we all want that BFP. I'm curious to know when did you take the baby aspirin? After ovulation? I'm also going to look into reflexology.
