Hi, I just put a post in the natural parenting section about chemical free sofas, and the forum is censoring the term flame ******ant. Can this be corrected please?

Flame ******ant ??..It ( The Site) may be doing that cause it sounds like the terrible word they use for Down Syndrome.. Just a guess, not sure.. <3U could say flame resistant, instead..

Hi Andy, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately there is no other term for what I'm trying to say. I'm looking for a sofa that is not covered in flame ******ants. I still want it to be flame resistant.

I guess b&b members will just have to guess what I mean by context if there's no fix.

Well to simply answer your question...

Wool is flame resistant naturally. Depending on where you're from, you may have to special order something that isn't sprayed in flame-proof chemicals (if you catch my drift.)

Here, you have to have a prescription from a doctor saying you can't handle "flame-proof chemicals." I'm not sure if wool is sprayed since it is naturally resistant.

FieryPhoenix, nice call! Will have to update it to that.

Thanks VerbingNoun (like the name btw) I am aware. It's the suppliers I'm having trouble with. I'm in the UK, and I've only been able to find one with limited options. Was looking to see if anyone else had had more luck.

Hi,

I know it may seem unnecessary but none of our moderated key words have been set for no reason therefore are necessary even if a little annoying on rare occasions, sorry about that :D ...

Had a look into the settings and made a slight change which should enable you to submit the word ******ant without the annoying ******!
