Unsupportive parents

Has anyone else had really unsupportive parents? My mum and dad won't even look at me they want me out of their house and nothing to do with me. I knew my dad wouldn't take it well, and I expected disappointment however my mum was young herself and I thought after the initial shock she'd come round slowly, how did you all deal with this?

give them some time. a day or two or even a week or two may not be enough for them. they had another kind of future in mind for you and other hopes and dreams for you and for themselves as well, and they have to come to terms with the fact that it won't go that way.

also, they may as well blame themselves for your situation, for failing as parents and so on (a thing they will never tell you probably though), so give them some time. i know it's tough but mutual understanding can only be helpful.

especially since your mom was young herself, she may have hoped or promised herself she'll do everything for you not to be in the same situation (being a teenage mom) and it is a bit of a tough cookie to accept.

i know these must be hard and lonely times for you, but even though they say so, i really don't believe your parents really want you to leave. they say that mostly out of anger, shock and helplessness. but they will come around.
