unsure of when need to go in...

this will be my 3rd csect but my first ELCS. i have been told i am not allowed to labour at home and then go in but i didnt think to ask when do i need to ring/go in. Just wondering if there are any ladies around that have had to have cesct but have gone into labour beforehand?

At what point did you call/go in??

My OB said as soon as I think I'm in labor to go in and tell them I have a csection scheduled and they'll do it right then.

This is what I plan on doing after discussing it with my Dr. Little miss is breech so I wouldnt be able to deliver anyway so the sooner I get there the better.

Same here- I had a section scheduled for Tues, my waters went on Thurs so I phoned the hospital who asked me to come straight in. I laboured at hospital until a theatre became free and they could perform a section.

I've had 4 c-sections, all of them EMCS. First because baby got stuck when I tried for natural birth, 2nd because baby was in distress due to placental failure and with the last 2 I had planned c-sections but went into labour before I got to the planned date. My dr told me to come in if I get regular contractions, the show, blood, water breaks, pain, doesn't matter what, basically any sign of labour or impending labour. Good luck!

consultant said t ring as soon as I start contracting/waters break! so that they can prep everything for the section

thanks ladies i have an appointment tomorrow but have been getting constant pelvic pressure and irregular tightenings (some lil painful). didnt experience this with my other two and not sure if its just normal from baby dropping. its amazing that now matter how many pregnancies you have they are all different
