Hi
I posted earlier i was going for my rh geno type results and my scan.
Got the geno type results and she is rh+ which was what i was dreading so she is now going to have a fight on her hands with the anti bodies.
Thats not all they have also said she is now really small for her gestation, im 24wks 4days and she is only weighting 544g! all other measurements put her onto the 5th centile, consideringim diabetic im used to having really big babies,

Got to go and get anotehr scan in 2 weeks, imreally worried why she is so smal ;(l

:hugs: im sure she will be fine hun theres lots of time for her to put on the weight

Fingers crossed everything is ok for you hun xx

Hope everything is ok and that your little girl is a strong fighter x

Thank you everyone,it has come as a shock as it was the last thing i ws expecting to hear was that she was really small, it wasnt till i was half way home (im an hour 20mins away from hospital) that all these questions that i should have asked came into my head.
The consultant wouldnt commit as to what would happen but it could be from 30wks they might want to deliver her, before 30wks they will try to do a interuterine (sp?) blood transfusion xx

How much should she weigh now? Yeah its a worry for you, be reassured they're keeping an eye on you and baby though which is good news xxxx

FX that everything's okay with both of you. I can't wait till you get your next scan, and I hope she's caught up a bit since then.

I hope baby puts on some weight before your next scan keeping everything crossed for you x

From what i have read i gather she should be around 680-780g.
All her measurements put her on the 5th centile including the head circ and abominal circ

At least she is still very active, im hoping that means she is ok xx

If it helps I am rh+ and my mum is negative. I came early at 33 weeks as a combined result of undiagnosed rh incombatability as well as complete placenta praevia. My sister who is older than me provided the antibodies. I had a transfusion when I arrived but weighed 4lb ... I'm still here and had no lingering effects. I'm 24 and it wad totally undiagnosed ... As was the placenta prob. Xx

Hope everything is ok, good luck for your next scan. Is this your first? My first dd was rh+ and im rh- and she was ok, why do they have concerns about your little one?

Emma x

Yes i already have the anti c and anti d antibodies, my last was in icu for 3 weeks after he was born, this is my 5th baby
The growth shouldnt be related to the rh disease so its something else to worry about.
xx

Thank you everyone for your replies

After a night of worrying and doing the worst thing googleing it i decided to call the comunity midwife, shewas at the clinic today so spoke to one of the consultants and phoned me back to say that if there is any change in movements or i feel unwell in any way i ahve to phone the maternity hospital straight away

Wasnt what i wanted to hear really, i wanted to be told i was over reacting and there was nothing to worry about but at least i know now to keep an extra close eye on her .

Still none the wiser what could have caused it as the midwife said there was soamny different reasons it could be xx
