Upping LO's ounces :-D

Nathan is currently drinking 4oz every 2-3 hours and he takes at least 20 minutes to finish so i thought i would go online an order the medium flow teats, what a life saver! i have just fed him his 4oz bottle and he drank it in 5 minutes, and was looking for more! Usually he leaves a bit at the bottom of the bottle but he swallowed everything at this feed! Upping his bottles to 5oz and hopefully see how he gets on, loving these new teats!

Thanks, he was only taking 4oz for a few weeks and i was starting to worry he wasnt drinking enough, so im glad he is looking for more after drinking the 4oz xx

Great he's taking more and I want to say thanks for this thread. I've just had a total DOH!!! moment reading what you've said about how long it took your LO to drink 4oz. At times my LO is so slow at taking her bottle it's ridiculous - she's normally 20-30mins per feed. We make up 6oz bottles (she can be a hungry wee thing!) and it can take that long for her to drink 4-5oz depending on her mood.

I need to try her on a different teat size! We're still on size 1 so I think it's about time we moved to size 2. Can't believe I didn't think about it before

When my daughter was born she was a grubber, i took on the advice of my mum when she told me to switch the stage 1 teats to medium flow. I kept telling her no as i was certain she would choke on the medium flow as she was only a couple of weeks old. The poor thing sooked and sooked at the stage 1 teats so hard that she ended up with blisters on her top lip, so i eventually took my mums advice and tried her with the medium flow, and she thrived on it! sometimes your mums advice is the best advice
