Ureaplasma infection??

Anyone else tested positive for ureaplasma?
I tried googling and was absolutely terrified. It ranged from no big deal to 2nd tri losses. I just can't face that. We've already been through so much. So I figured I'd ask here.
Doctor hasn't said much but I have an appointment tomorrow.

It's a bacteria that's always present in the reproductive system but can flare up on an occasion. That's pretty much all I know. But I've read about women loosing their pregnancies due to the infection reaching their cervix then their fluid.

ok... so... reading about ANYTHING on Google is going to terrify the living daylights out of you. Even BV will leave you in tears and scared beyond belief, and don't even get me started about the common cold.

You'll probably get put on a round of antibiotics and be just fine. Stay positive, and don't sweat the little stuff.

Exactly what I needed to hear Why must Google be so cruel??

My nurse didn't seem alarmed on the phone and I've already started antibiotics, so as long as they work, I shouldn't have any issues. Although it is common to pass it to your partner so he'll have to take antibiotics too.

Just wondering how you are going.... I am 20 weeks pregnant and just been told I am positive for ureaplasma.... I did a Google search and am terrified of loosing my baby. I had a miscarriage last year at 17 weeks I am now wondering if this was the reason. I just hope it hasn't been found to late

This bacteria is really insignificant. Not sure why your dr even tested you for it as many don't at all. It's controversial as to whether or not it's worth treating... Everyone has it it just flares up sometimes it lives in digestive tract. My OB does every single test under the sun but doesn't test for that. I really wouldn't worry and if inquire if antibiotics are really necessary.
